If farve comes back next season he might do really bad and have to play another season to make up for it which he will be too old to do and might get injured, he should leave on a good note. He has pretty much all the records, Aron rogers is good enough to fill in for Farve and if he does bad next season everyone will say he shoud've retired last season.

No way this guy is having one of the best years in his career let alone past few years.Who is to say he would come back and be bad. This team is a very young and talented team and i DO NOT SEE THEM FAILING anytime soon. Also who cares about records if you still love the game and you are winning and having fun why quit?
Eaglesfan13 said 12/16, 01:15 AM
Well I'm a packer fan but I just dont want to see him fail. I know its a young team and their really talented but Brett Favre on the other hand he could be having the best year in his career but how about next year he could have one of the worst years in his career. I mean he is kind of old and he could get injured and i wouldnt really want to see a hall of fame quarterback leave like that I mean who would? So just face it if they have a really bad record next year the fans will kind of be disapointed in him.

I understand from a fan stand point that you dont want to see one of your great players get hurt of play bad.Being a Giants fan its the way I felt with Barber last year. But this team will be fine for years to come and he is the center piece. He will think about it like always but if you watch this guy he is having the time of his life out there. This is a guy who has the most consecutive starts ever I dont think he is thinking about being hurt. This team is finally where he wanted it and I think it would be a bad idea to retire right now.
Eaglesfan13 said 12/16, 01:34 AM
well what about that year when they went 10-6 and everyone thought it was a turning point and then BAM! next season 4-12. I mean what if goes like that next season. See so just if I was him (RETIRE). Then Brett wouldnt have to worry about that. Also "the time of his life" could turn into his worst nightmare next season. I mean Aron Rogers can fufill his spot and look at the awesome Ryan Grant. He is almost at 1,000 yards and this is what his only 8th game of the season. Also Rogers is looking good and imagine what he could do in a few years. I mean did you see him against Dallas? WOW. So Favre should just retire and the young studs can do the rest.
st*rainman*sssc* said 12/16, 01:37 AM
This is different this team has two losses one being to dallas which they could have won.It was a bad game for him and got hurt yes but he was back the next week and look what happend.Im not sold on Rogers that was the first game hes really played and looked ok but no one has film on him it happens alot with backups.Look at todd Collins last week.Grant by the way is having a great year but only has a little over 600 yards but hes a talent. All the more reason to come back he finally has a running game.He can still play great and it would be ashame to see a great player retire before he is ready.

Report Offensive CommentHe's not retiring. This is a young team. They have a legit shot at a championship in the next 2-3 years. Maybe even this year.

Eaglesfan13 | 12/16/07, 01:41 AM
Report Offensive CommentI know I just looked i was looking at a different running back earliar but I knew he wasnt near 1000 yet.Still the guy is a huge talent and I regret the Giants trading him for so little.
st*rainman*sssc* | 12/16/07, 01:43 AM
Report Offensive CommentYeah but that really good for have 744 yards in like only 8 games. Yeah but the giants didnt know how good he was
Eaglesfan13 | 12/16/07, 01:45 AM
Report Offensive CommentHe will retire and go out with a winning season.
LoveItHateIt | 12/16/07, 01:46 AM
Report Offensive CommentI know they didnt I was happy to see him go to a team though. The Giants had no room for a rb and I loved him in preseason so I was glad they traded him instead of cutting him.
st*rainman*sssc* | 12/16/07, 01:47 AM
Report Offensive CommentIt all depends on how far they go...if they go to the superbowl, i think he'll hang em up and go out on top. the problem is, there is no way he'll have a bad season next year because he is showing no signs of declining. Grant will have 1000 yards when the season ends and things are looking great for the packers. i think if favre gets to the bowl he will and probably should retire on top. i hate to see him go but what a better way to go out. on the other hand, his contract is till 2010 and he might fulfill it. i'll enjoy every minute if he does. don't worry about him getting hurt or doing badly..it's all about the team around him. when he went 4-12, his team sucked..now he has weapons.

Report Offensive Commentyep he's an awesome young stud that will get the job done for the packers. But it seems like the packers go through alot of running backs
Eaglesfan13 | 12/16/07, 01:49 AM
Report Offensive CommentYeah but i still think if Brett makes it to the NFC champion ship game and loses he will retire.
Eaglesfan13 | 12/16/07, 01:50 AM
Report Offensive CommentThats because over the years they did a bad job of getting that guy.Green had fumbling problems and was getting old and then they just played musical running backs.Grants for real and so are the Packers.Im not a fan but I have to say I do route for them because they havnt been very good for a while.
st*rainman*sssc* | 12/16/07, 01:51 AM
Report Offensive CommentYes. But you will never know Ted Thompson might do something crazy like he normally does offers Bubba Franks another contract. Cuts Amon Green. Whats next
Eaglesfan13 | 12/16/07, 01:53 AM
Report Offensive Commenthaha.Bubba is a good tightend. Not a receiving one but a very good blocker.Hes been solid over the years.
st*rainman*sssc* | 12/16/07, 01:55 AM
Report Offensive CommentIf they win the Super Bowl he'll ride off into the sunset. With that said, he'll be back next season.
bIGROCKHOGG | 12/16/07, 01:56 AM
Report Offensive Commentyes he's a good blocker and all. But what can you do with a tightend that cant catch. Donald Lee is the real deal for the tightend spot. Even Brett Favre loves him. For sure he's taking bubba franks spot.
Eaglesfan13 | 12/16/07, 01:58 AM
Report Offensive CommentHe won't be "riding off into the sunset" if the last time they were in a super bowl was in 98 (which they lost) but won in 97. They will probly lose their first playoff game
