this TD is basically asking, who is the biggest NASCAR legend? I say Richard Petty. And here is my reason.

Stats:

Poles: 123
Wins: 200
Top 5: 555
Top 10: 712
Champion ships: 7

Richard Petty had the most starts at a BIG 1,184 starts! We all KNOW Richard Petty Rules the road, and the only one that can get close to him is Earnhardt, but sadly Earnhardt still could not beat this, no matter how hard he tried :( Just in case i got you confused, i say Richard Petty is the most Lengendary driver.

I belive Earnhardt is . Everybody knows Dale Earnhardt even if you are not a NASCAR fan. His son is also the most popular racer in the sport right now. A large part of that has to do with the fact that his dad is the intimidator. He is tied with Petty for the most championships.

dude, you are correct about the most championships won...but then again look at the other stats. And i realize Earnhardt made a major impact on racing, but dude im talking all stats here.

Richard Petty beat Earnhardt in--- Poles: RP: 123 DE: 23 (Dale Earnhardt beaten by 100) , Wins: RP: 200 DE: 76 (Dale Beaten by 124) , Top 5: RP 555 DE: 281 (DE beaten by 274)

This TD isnt about what everybody knows, but its about what actually happend stat wise. Everyone knows that Earhardt is a legacy, but the question from me to you is: Can he beat Richard Petty?

If we go by these stats then yes petty would be the most "legendary" but If they raced I think Earnhrdt would win. He could just crash him and then cruise through the finish line

Dude you just cornered yourself----why would someone so "lengendary" wreck someone else to win. To become a lengend you need skill.

Jeff Gordon

Jeff Gordon is my favorite but his career isnt over soo he isnt really legandary yet even though his stats are right up here with the best

I like Earnhardt, but TR3Y is right. If you can win 200 races in NASCAR then you are the best. Petty will always be the best until someone gets 201 wins. Earnhardt is the second best.

this was a joke. Petty used to race 2-3 times a week. Thht's why he's got so many starts. Earnhardt raced once a week.

And nobody will EVER get 200 wins again. EVER.
