I think it'll be the Chik-Fil-A Bowl Auburn vs. Clemson...the two teams are mirror images of each other, and think it'll be a pretty physical game..and it will come down to the 4th quarter

Capital Bowl Game - Florida v Michigan. Two of the upper eschelon teams of their respective conferences. Florida the National Champion of this year vs the storied program of Michigan
Tebow the Heisman winner in first game since award against the seniors of Henne and Hart (who should be healthy with the layoff). Add the intrigue of Rodriguez being the new coach
badgerfan07 said 12/19, 10:19 PM
I dont think the Capital One Bowl is going to be very good...Michigan had a hard time stopping the Spread style offense with Appalachian State and Oregon, imagine them having to stop that offense with much better atheletes...not going to happen.
But both Auburn and Clemson are two physical teams, that match up quite well against each other..and it'll be much more competitive than the Capital One Bowl will be, this year.

Spread Offenses - no one could stop Oregon until dixon went down so I wont hang that against Michigan. Even though Carr is staying through the bowl game Rodriguez has already started attending practices and you know his knowledge of the spread will be used. Bowl games give teams a month and allow teams to catch up with systems they dont see often.
Plus with a healthy Henne and Hart Michigan can sustain drives while putting up points.
Regardless Clemson and Auburn will not be as interesting because similar systems. It will be two conservative teams taking turns punting. On other hand, Michigan v Floridas differences in their systems and fact teams from different regions makes game more compelling then auburn v clemson. Heck even the chikfila tbowl games team names (tigers) are the same. boring

Florida vs. Michigan could turn ugly really quick, and probably will. Clemson vs. Auburn will be close to the end.
This being Lloyd Carr's last game doesnt seem like its that big of a deal to me, he's never really seemed like the guy who gives you a big pre game speech or really is all that emotional to me. I dont think Rodriguez can give an input in the preparation because that would be a NCAA rules violation.
Clemson vs Auburn will be the better football game...the teams are a better match up for each other than Michigan vs Florida is.
Sooner in WA- Cardinals blow said 12/20, 08:32 PM
He has been named to the staff and already attends practices. He has completely stepped down from WV i.e. no involvement. So there is no conflict
Clemson v Auburn is a game of mid level teams without much intrigue. auburn has won 12 straight in the series. This game will be a snooze Auburn is 6th in scoring defense and clemson10th while Auburn is 101st in offense scoring less 2 or less tds in 75% of its SEC games. Clemson isn't much better. Of course it will be close neither team can score 17pts.
As for Fla v Michigan it is two premier teams, can score, and Carr is liked by the team so will play hard for him and guarantee Henne and Hart as seniors want to go out winners. Plus takes more than your Hunch to say it wont be close. Either way it is the better game

Well, I don't know where you are going with the Rodriguez thing, but I like your pick...

Report Offensive Commentnoooo. fla-mich might be an intriguing game for the subplots. but watch for blowout city...vote to bagderfan because his game will be the better game which in this case means closer and more evenly watched.

Report Offensive Commentgotta vote for Sooner. Oregon had much better offensive talent than Florida when they played Michigan.

Report Offensive CommentBetween these two, gotta take the chick. . . Florida won't be able to help themselves and will demolish Michigan. There are several bowls that will be infinitely better than either of these, like the Sugar. Also was thinking UK-FSU would be <7 pt. game, but UK's liable to win by 21 now.

Report Offensive CommentI think Florida wins but its closer than most think. Michigan will be up for Carr's last game and have senior leadership. Either way it just seems to be more interesting which to me makes it the better bowl matchup.
I like different styles of play and teams never see play one another do so.

Report Offensive CommentI am really looking to see if Hawaii can hang with Georgia.... With them being undefeated, playing a BCS Conference team that was so...so... but cam on strong at the end of the season. How will Colt handle the size, speed, strength of a SEC team.... NTM, if they win like Boise (same conference) did against OU last year (fluke, but still he best game ever played) it will be good to see the BCS get hit with yet another blow that questions it credibility.... So, there you have it???. My humble opinion???. That and $5 will buy you a mocha at Starbucks???.

Report Offensive CommentHenne and Hart didn't play all that well at home against Ohio State at home for their coach to go out on top as seniors...what makes anyone think they'll play any better against Florida..doesnt matter if they were injured
badgerfan07 | 12/20/07, 08:59 PM
Report Offensive CommentUm it matters alot if someone is injured. A leg/ankle problem for a rb come on now. You cant say injuries to a QB and RB dont matter
Sooner in WA- Cardinals blow | 12/20/07, 09:59 PM
Report Offensive CommentCan't believe Sooner's winning this one. Florida will destroy Michigan. I was shocked that the Bowl committee set this one up, but then again all of the match ups were head scratchers this year (UGA-HI, USC-IL, VT-KS). My guess? They hate Lloyd Carr for some reason. Why else would they throw another spread offense at him (One that's waaaay better than any other they've faced this season too)?
deadlyspores | 12/20/07, 11:12 PM
Report Offensive CommentActually Oregon with Dixon was better. The Heisman and the BCS title game would be Duck country but for Dixon's injury. Its part of the game so life happens but their spread offense was by far the best
Sooner in WA- Cardinals blow | 12/21/07, 03:23 AM
Report Offensive CommentYes Sooner Magic the upset would be interesting. But that OU team last year was not nearly as good as UGA or OU this year. It was Stoops best year of coaching last year. With AD out much of the year and bringing back Paul Thompson to play QB after moving to WR and he struggled at QB his entire career before that year.
OU now has 5 Big 12 titles and remarkably its with 5 different QBs - Heupel, Hybl, Jason White, Paul Thompson, and Samford
