Pick the team's best first round draft pick since the 2000 draft. Same teams as mine. No players acquired through trades unless a team traded for a draft pick.

AFC East
Patriots - Richard Seymour

AFC North
Steelers - Troy Polamalu

AFC South
Colts - Dwight Freeney

AFC West
Chargers - LaDainian Tomlinson

NFC East
Cowboys - Demarcus Ware

NFC North
Packers - A.J. Hawk

NFC South
Buccaneers - Cadillac Williams

NFC West
Seahawks - Shaun Alexander

Patriots- DT Vince Wilfork 21 overall (more value than Seymour who was picked 6th overall)

Steelers- QB Ben Roethlisberger (slight edge over Polamalu)

Colts- WR Reggie Wayne-more value at 30th overall than Freeney at 11th

Chargers-RB LT (trying to pick diff. players but I can't do it on this one)

Cowboys-LB DeMarcus Ware (can't disagree with him either)

Packers-MLB Nick Barnett (he's better than Hawk and was selected 24 spots later, once again more value)

Bucs-RB Cadillac Williams

Seahawks-RB S. Alexander (can't argue here)

I like my picks since they all produce as much if not more for their teams but cost a lot less since most of them are later 1st rounders.

Patriots: Seymour is clearly a better player than Wilfork. Seymour has dominated on defense for the Pats for seasons. Seymour requires more attention than Wilfork does and because of that Wilfork seems better than he really is. Seymour is the focal point of the defensive ine and he is much better than Wilfork regardless of where they were taken.

Steelers: Roethlisberger has been inconsistent while Polamalu has exceled in nearly every single season he has played. Polamalu is extremely important to the Steelers defense. Just look at the game against the Pats where they threw it long so many times and if Polamalu was playing those plays might not have happened.

Colts: Freeney is crucial for most of the Colt's defensive success. He played great last year in the playoffs and that's when the defense seemed to suddenly get better. Wayne has been the #2 receiver every year until now. Every other season Wayne isn't even the most important receiver on his team.

Packers: You beat me here.

Seymour is more important to the Patriots than Wilfork. Polamalu is more important to the Steelers than Big Ben. And Freeney is more important every other season except this one to the Colts.

Forfeited Turn

Okay, since you didn't argue I don't really have anything to say. Well, anyway, the players I chose are more important to their teams than the ones you chose except for the Packers. They have a huge impact on their team and are big reasons why they win games. Since they are so important to their teams, they are the better picks, regardless of when they were chosen.

"I like my picks since they all produce as much if not more for their teams, but cost less since most of them are later 1st rounders."

Although they cost less, they do not produce as much. Seymour produces more than Wilfork when they are healthy, Polamalu clearly produces more and has had a bigger impact when he plays over Big Ben, and Freeney is very important to his team and constantly gets the sacks while every year, except this one, Wayne receiver ON HIS TEAM..

So your argument is that your players are "more important."

I don't see how a S (polamalu) is more important than a QB(roethlisberger) to his team.

I think Reggie Wayne is pretty darn "important" as well. Freeney went down and their defense has still been playing solid football. Reggie Wayne took the lead WR role this year when Marvin Harrison went down.
Just imagine where the Colts would be without Wayne. Oh and this isn't Reggie Wayne's first big season as you stated above.
And as for Seymour and Wilfork. Both guys benefit from each other. Both are just as important to the Patriots' defense as one another as well. Wilfork has played a lot more than Seymour for the Pats this year.

Nick Barnett was a very good choice

Yo.. MERRY STEELER CHRISTMAS

December 22, 2007  04:02 AM ET

how did both of you miss witten on this list for the cowboys? demarcus ware is still progressing and he will be great but witten it great now, plus he is a premier blocker as a tight end. RARE these days. If anybody noticed the steelers have a better record when big ben is out than when polamalu is out so you HAVE to give troy the edge with that battle. As for the patriots is anyone going to mention that fairly young offensive line that give tom brady all day to throw? All of them have been taken since 01 except 2 and those are backup. Without them brady wouldnt look so good, and belechick wouldnt be hoisting those trophy's

Only one was a first rounder and I don't know that mankins is more valuable than wilfork or seymour
