reggie bush has been considered a bust. on the fannation homepage it has him listed as a punt returner in the injury report thingy. in case you didnt notice he also plays running back. i dont think hes a complete bust.

Expectation = bust

You can't compare most picks with Reggie Bush. Coming off of the Heisman at USC, Bush was expected to electrify the NFL with his speed and agility. Well, Bush (and fans) got a 101 in "Speed of NFL Defenses". Bush only has 3.6 ypc for his early career, very average and for the most part has not lived up to expectations... which again makes him somehwhat of a bust

of course he hasnt lived up to his hype. thats impossible. but people are saying he sucks. he doesnt suck. hes a good speedy back who can catch and excels in the open field. if you pair him with another back (like mcallister) you have one of the best combos in the league. no way will he EVER live up to what was expected. nobody could do that. but he doesnt suck and was worth the saints pick

Saying he "sucks" and that he is a "bust" are 2 different things. I never said he sucked. But when McAllister went down this year it was Bush chance to shine. And he hasn't.

To put this into perspective, Bush had NO 100 yard games this year running. Aaron Stecker had 1 in his first start and 95 yards last week. Bush has been alot more hype than substance

i never said that you said he sucked. but the general idea is hes worthless. and im saying he isnt. and he cant shine when hes injured

He had his chance when McAllister went down. He's shown he is not a 1 system back. New Orleans is actually a much better offense it seems when they don't have to offensively scheme for Bush...All these trick plays ended up getting Payton and NO in trouble and cost them the Bucs game.

ush is also fumble prone... He fumbled the ball 7 times this year. Combine that with his 3.7 ypc and 4 TD's in 12 games, he is a very average player with a tremendous amount of talent.

Saints fan till I die! With that said, Even though its too early to call somene a bust, as a rb, Bush as proven to be just that. Bush is not an every down back and is better utilized as a change of pace back or a recieving threat. Hopefully with offseason training to bulk up, he may prove us all wrong.
