NFL Fantasy Bust Team

Follow this format- Injuries count as busts, but must have played 6 games

QB- Marc Bulger- He has to be. He is on one of the most dissappointing teams in the NFL and most people before the season predicted him to lead the Rams to the playoffs and he has put up very mediocre numbers. A pro bowl QB from last year has more INTs than TDs and he only has 10 TDs.

RB- Shaun Alexander- He went very high in all of the fantasy drafts at about 4 and he is the 133rd ranked fantasy player. 612 rushing yards and only 3 touchdowns. He has very little job security too.

RB- Laurence Maroney- It really isn't his fault, he just isn't getting the carries. He was drafted on average in the first round and is the 109th ranked fantasy player. 633 yards and 3 touchdowns from a first round pick.

WR- Steve Smith- ranked the #1 WR in preseason and has 62 yards a game. QB problems and being dropped in fantasy leagues

WR- Darrell Jackson- Can you belive he went average 6th round? 34 yards a game and 1 TD. LAST YEAR: 73 yards a game and 10 TDs

TE- Todd Heap
Defense- Bears- Picked 1st overall defense and are the 29th ranked defense

You are up, try and have a couple differences

qb-jp losman.the guy went from being a sleeper qb last year to a garbage qb this year.he was poised to lead the bills to at least a playoff berth but how can you do that when you throw only 4 td's not to mention 6 int's.

rb-larry johnson.do i need to say much here.the guy wanted to talk a big game like he was a serious rb but comes in...and only has 3 td's and averages 3.5 ypc.thats horrible.and in 8 games he only has 559 yards.he had almost double that a year ago.

rb-frank gore.he's starting to pick up a little but for the most part this year he has been dismal at best.he was no3-4 on everyones fantasy list and now he is a good bench pick up at best.he may break 1,000 yards but he has hardly added to an already horrible offense with only 5 td's.

wr-lee evans-again another wr poised to be mid second or third round pick up but ends up not doing jack for his team for the most part.granted he had one or two blow up games but people expect a wr to produce more than that.

wr-santana moss-can we say garbage?

te-l.j smith-garbage-the sequel.

defense-baltimore-they just dont cut it anymore.at least this year.

OK nice picks and thank you for not just changing one.

QB- Bulger was ranked as the THIRD QB and the starter on most teams. Losman was a sleeper but he never woke up. Bulger probably started for 100% of the teams he was on in week one. Losman would probably be starting in about 20% of the leagues in week one. Losman was a good backup, but no one was really relying on him like Bulger.

RB- Dude, there is no arguing with Shaun Alexander. He has been TERRIBLE. In 11 games, Shaun Alexander has 76 fantasy points putting him at about 7 a week. In 8 games, johnson has 92 fantasy points which is about 11.5 fantasy points a game.

RB- Gore has 1,200 total yards and 5 total touchdowns. 141 fantasy points in 13 games which is about 11 a game. Maroney has 86 fantasy points in 11 games putting him at around 8. They were only about 5 picks away on the draft board.

WR- Lee Evans is on dude. 97 points in 14 games for being drafted in about the 5th round. Smith was taken in the second round and only has 115 points. I guess a bit of a push here.

WR- Darrel Jackson has about 15 less points and he was taken around the same time as Santana

TE- Heap was the 3rd TE off the board and LJ S

Well anyway, most fantasy owners who drafted J.P. Losman knew that he had a chance to lose his starting job. Not many fantasy owners were depending as much on Losman as they were Bulger and if they were, they are pretty terrible fantasy players. Bulger has put up terrible numbers and has been plagued with injuries all throughout the year. He was expected to be a pro bowl QB.

QB- I take this one obviously. Losman was a sleeper, Bulger was a pro bowler

RB #1- I have this one, LJ was getting 4.5 more fantasy points a game and LJ was only taken one pick before Shaun Alexander. 4.5 points is a lot weekly.

RB #2- Frank Gore is acctually having a good year. 1,200 total yards is nothing to laugh at and Maroney has about half of that.

WR #1- You take this one, 3-1

WR- I have this one easily. Darrell Jackson (and the 49ers) were projected for huge things this year.

TE- Heap, LJ Smith was a backup TE in most leagues but the owners with Heap really got burned by him this year.

Defense- The Ravens defense isn't even doing that bad. The Bears defense (who were taken on average BEFORE the Ravens defense) is ranked 29th in total yards! That is terrible! Chicago doesn't deserve

Todd Heap and Steve Smith killed my team this year. I kept starting them thinking that they would get better until I had to trade them for nobodys. They killed my team

Gore hasnt been as good as expected but he has been a top 12 HB most of the season
