I think its definitely the Ravens. Last year, they were 13-3 and dominated all year. They fought hard with the Pats in the playoffs and I thought they may have been the best regular season team. After only losing Adalius Thomas this offseason, they completely collasped and are now a horrendous 4-10. McNair fell off the face of the earth, McGahee has been nonexistent, and the once incredibly feared defense has crumbled. I picked them to win 12 games and contend for a Super Bowl. Billick has lost control and deserves to be fired. This team is such a disappointment.

It has to be the Chicago Bears. After marching all the way to the Super Bowl last season, hopes were high this season. Everyone though that Cedric Benson would do great, Rex Grossman would find his comfert zone, Devin Hester would return 10+ kick and punt returns for TDs, and the Bears defense would keep doing what they have been doing. None of this happened, the opposite happened as the Bears slumped to a 5-9 record, on pace to lose 10 games after going 13-3 the season before. Yes, Baltimore had a great season but they didn't have a very good postseason, also, no Super Bowl hopes either before this season.

Yes, but Chicago went to the Super Bowl last year with a horrendous QB. They're running game carried the offense. They for some reason decided to ruin this awesome running game by trading away Thomas Jones, their best running back. Therefore, they did in themselves with a bad personnel decision, and aren't really that disappointing. I mean sure, I thought they'd be better, but they could have gone either way. The Ravens have essentially the same team as last year, and still could do nothing. And believe it or not, last year, the Ravens were just as talented as the Bears, just in a better conference.

Already more words than Vinnie's Pepperoni and smackem could put up on this same topic... and both of you are making great arguments in your first contentions. Personally would lean toward... well, convince me, guys?

Great start, I will be back for more...

The Bears. They were one consistent QB away from winning it all last season, and then both sides of the ball fell apart this year, and the injuries piled up. But a season sweep of Green Bay sure is nice. :)

Bears, but that's the only b/c of the Superbowl Loser curse.

I hail them for beating the crap out of the Packers today tho'...

ravens. just because they did worse this year. they lost to the DOLPHINS for crying out loud. at least the bears had a few positives, like sweeping the packers.

HAHA, I forgot about that. In that case, vote to the left.

I think basically everyone saw that the Bears were a fluke. As for the Ravens, I had them as a first or second seed in the playoffs.

December 24, 2007  12:18 AM ET

how do you call a team a fluke??? they made the playoffs and went to the super bowl...they had a good season...

Philadelphia Eagles.

I mean seriously- they have only themselves to blame

I could have told you the Bears would not do much this year from the moment the game clock read 0:00 at the Super Bowl.

There are so few teams who make it back to the playoffs let alone the Super Bowl in consecutive years that it's a virtual certainty that the SB loser will collapse the next year.

Couple the SB "curse" with the Bears QB woes and getting rid of their D coordinator and RB Thomas, and you have a mess.
