I think that they will have about 65 wins. 70 wins is a bit unrealistic considering they lost their only really hard game vs. Detroit. They have a few games vs. hard West teams and a few games vs. Detroit and Orlando. They will also lose a few easy games. That will leave them with about 65 wins. They have 3 great players in KG, Allen, and Pierce. They have a good young point guard in Rondo and an OK center in Perkins. Their bench is also not so bad. 70 wins is unrealistic, 60 is to less, but 65 is just right!

I think they will have 60 wins. They have lost to the better teams they have played. I think they will only win about 15% of their games against the better teams. They do have a good core, but an untimely injury to their Big 3 will really hurt them. They rely on the Big3 and without them at full strength they are in big trouble. Pierce has a history of getting injury, and Ray Allen has already sat out a couple games. Another major factor is their PG. Rondo is good, but the game against the Pistons showed that to be a good team in the league, you really have to have a decent PG. Rondo is learning, and 65 wins maybe in reach next year.

yah they have lost to some good teams but they dont always play good teams... by my count they only play about 10 more games vs. very good teams. Anyway they lost in Orlando by 2, they lost in Cleveland in OT, and they lost by 2 to Detroit. So its not like they cant play with the best teams. Now to disprove everything you just said...
Pierce has a history of injury??? Dont just make things up he was only injured last season for the first team.
Ray Allen sat out a few games??? Yah and they won each game he sat out!
Rondo is good but the game against the Pistons showed that to be a good team you need a decent PG??? That makes no sense! You say that he is good which is better than decent!
Yes an injury to the big three will hurt them but they have already showed that they can play with out one of them. Allen already sat out a few games and they won both of them!

First, use your own arguement, not the one left by CCC in the comments.
Allen is probably the least important in the Big 3. I meant developing not good for the Rondo thing, please excuse that I messed up one word. Their lack of a deep bench will also hurt them. Witht heir Big 3 made up of vets, they need their bench to pull trhough down the stretch. Like I said before, their bench isn't deep and they will need to improve in that area.
Da Masta: At camp to july 25 said 12/26, 08:02 AM
Allen may be the least important in the Big 3 but he still matters, he gets 20 pts. per game. Also Rondo is developing and could become an NBA star if he plays on the right team which he plays on now. Rondo has been fine so far and should only expect to improve. I agree with you they lack depth in their bench but they have a few good players on the bench and if the big 3 plays most of the time thats all that matters. They have very few games against Detroit, Orlando, Dallas, Phoenix, and San Antonio. Those are the hardest teams and combined they only play them 11 more times this year. That gives them a record of....68-14! Yes they will probably lose a few games that they should have won but even so... do you think they will lose 8 games to only OK or bad teams? They will most likely have around 65 wins, exactly what I said!

They are not going to lose only three other games. More like 5 or 6, which is closer to MY choice. The Celtics are good no doubt, but they need to improve in their depth. Allen does matter because he is their shooter, I think 62 is way more reasonable than 65 wins.

Uh, no he doesn't. He was hurt last year. That's it. Hardly "a history of getting injured".
" and Ray Allen has already sat out a couple games."
And they won both games. So much for theory they can't win unless the big three are all healthy...

Wait...Rondo is "good" but they need a "decent" PG?

Report Offensive CommentDudeman, look @ the Celts bench numbers, they are actually one of the best in the league. The only thing they're missing is a good ball handling back-up point guard. But Posey, House, T. Allen & Glen Davis have been great off the bench all year.
