1. Baltimore Ravens
2. Carolina Panthers
3. St. Louis Rams
Denver is number 1 on my personal list, but people other than Broncos' fans either had them as a last place wild card team or outta the playoffs. The Ravens are the obvious pick. Most people expected them to win their division, instead they're losing it. The Panthers were yet again picked to go to the playoffs and yet again they let people down, and I think are in danger of losing their fan base. St. Louis was expected to be a contender for the division, and expecting to have huge years from Bulger and Jackson, but injuries made this team suffer, and their season went down the drain. Again, it was very tough to leave Denver out of it. But seeing that most people were debating between the last playoff spot and being out of the playoffs, they'd have to be right behind St. Louis.

I am not going to talk about the Ravens seeing as we agree on them.
I was very disappointed with Denver this year. Last year was a rebuilding year after Cutler came in. So i was expecting Denver to make a showing for at least a wild card. Shanahan has always put together great teams and I thought he did this year. For a while there people were starting to think that they could take the division with how bad the entire division looked. They looked almost like the NFC west not the AFC West.
The Saints came off a monster year they were one game away from the superbowl and this year started 0-4 that is absolutely unacceptable for a team that wants to make a run for a superbowl. Last year they were Americas team and now they are clinging to a very scarce hope of getting in the playoffs.
Vinny Testaverde was starting QB at 44 years old. Maybe at the beginning of the season they had a shot do well but that died quickly for the Panthers.
The Rams had every injury under the sun this year. I mean everybody was hurt. I could not call them a disappointing team. If they had all the starters healthy and were playing like that then yes they would be a solid 2 or 3 on my list.

I'm looking at this whole disappointment thing as If you were a team that was expected to do well in the playoffs, and you don't, then that's very disappointing. As I've been pointing out, personally, the Broncos are very disappointing. Are they disappointing to everyone else? Maybe so, but they shouldn't be that disappointed. Experts and football fans didn't have the Broncos winning the division, and had them contending for a last place wild card. After that, they weren't going to do anything. And your last statement really pisses me off because, you're talking about injuries. Now you're implying that Denver didn't have significant injuries. Jay Cutler got banged up vs. Detroit, Travis Henry at the beginning of the season hurt his MCL, than got hurt again in the regular season. At one point in the season, their third stringer had to start because of injuries. Javon Walker was dealing with his knee almost the whole season. Brandon Stokley just recently missed this past game. The O-Line, there was only about one or tow starters on that line the whole season. There have been a lot more injuries on the D side too, but I'm running outta room. We need to extend our characters used limit

First off Calm down.
The thing is with the Broncos is they started 2-0 while the Chargers were belly up they were expected to do very well this season and because they did not that makes them a disappointing team this year. I am not saying that they did not have injuries but their season is more of a disappointment than both Carolina and St. Louis.
Instead of attacking one of my picks this entire time why dont you defend your own?
ROYALwCHEESE BS CB MS 2179 66 said 12/27, 01:25 PM
I am defending my picks by saying that your pick is wrong. And i already defended my picks in my first argument. That 2-0 wasn't very impressive because if you remember, both wins came off of Jason Elam's foot. If you think Denver is that disappointing for going 2-0 and then falling, why don't you have the Lions in your 3? they started off 6-2 and then tanked. The Lions might even have a more disappointing season than the Broncos. My picks are coming off of people's expectations from the very beginning of the season, not during the season. St. Louis and Carolina, in my opinion, had higher expectations since they play int the NFC and are both in very weak divisions.

To be fair its hard to call thePanthers and Rams when they went through so many injuries throughout the season.Carolina went through 100 qb's and the Rams went through everyone.

st rainman, the Broncos have had plenty of injuries themselves, so that led me to believe that he counted teams with crucial injuries.

Jets 10-6 playoff team in 2006, 3-12 in 2007. Detroit was disappointing in -season, not season to season.

The Bears go from all the way to the Superbowl to currently last place in the NFC North, and they're not even the third most disappointing team? They brought everybody back, added key guys like Greg Olsen, and then fell apart on both sides of the ball with injuries everywhere. No vote for me.

Lee I understand your point but the topic was disappointing 2007season not from season to season. You can fairly read this 2 ways - Id say expectations is valid but actual implosin is worse.
For example most disappointing 2007 baseball team - Mets.
Yes the Cardinals were WS champs and expected to make playoffs and finished 3rd in worst division of baseball BUT the Mets utter collapse down the stretch made it a more disappointing season

Detroit has a waaaay better record than last year - they're an improvement, not disappointment (unless you're John Kitna). I agree with Harris, how do neither of you have the Bears??

Personally, I don't see the Ravens as a disappointment. The offense has never been anything special, and the D is getting up in the years.

49ers. They were picked by some to win the division. Uh, not happening. Patrick Willis is the man-beast to build a defense around, but Alex Smith svcks and always looks like a scared little puppy and Nolan couldn't run an offense to save his ***.
