Tourney Round 6: Is it time to take John Madden off of the air?

No, he is really annoying. And a crazy coach. But i personally think that's he's just eager for football. His games are fun. And he did win the Super Bowl as a coach in 1978. And he is in the Hall of Fame. His regular season record is 109-32-7. And post season 9-7. The regular season is quite amazing. And the post is good too. And was the Coach of the Year 1969. It's not time to like fire him and take him off. But in a couple years it would be smart for him to retire. So I say no it's not time to take him off.


Yes! He should be taken off! He states the obvious! Sure, he was a great football coach, but he can't commentate at all!He should be gone. The only he says is stuff like "The Bears are in a cover 2 defense." Obviously. Not that I have anything against him, it's just that he should stop commentating.


Why should he be taken off though that'd be horrible. He's been around forever some people like him some don't. If you don't like him then go ahead and be a hater. But he can be good. It's funny to hear him commentate.


I'm not a Madden hater, it's just that he dosen't give anything to the air. The only reason people like him is because of his vidio game. This throwdown is just a popularity contest, not based on arguments. Sure Madden is funny, but like I said, he states the obvious. He should be taken off. I admire him, but he's not much of a commentater.

i'm sure you could do better. he does state the obvious. and yes his VIDEO game is fun. But why would you want to fire him thats what i'm asking and you still have not answered your just stating the obvious, hey just like john madden. and how can you spell obvious right but not video in video game.

I think the coolest thing Fox could do for Super Bowl XLI is pull Pat Summerall out of retirement and work out a deal with NBC to have Madden for one game...
