Missouri got cheated out of a bowl game

Kansas! Kansas! Kansas! What do they deserve at best, a Chick-Fil-A Bowl. Thats what they deserve. Mizzou deserves a Rose Bowl or Orange Bowl, Why is West Virginia, Kansas, and Illinois in the BCS. Illinois lost to IOWA, and they have 3 losses, West Virginia also has 2 losses and they lost to UConn. Kansas has a loss, and guess who they lost to, Missouri. Mizzou has two losses, who did they lose to? The number 3 and numer 8 team in the country and a team in the Fiesta Bowl, Oklahoma. Missouri got cheated out of a bowl game big time.

R8ERS-
You like most people that complain about this do not know the rules of the BCS.

You see each conference is allowed only 2 BCS teams each season. (the conference makes money off of teams making BCS bowls, and if they are allowed more they will not take good regular season matchups.)

So in this case the Big 12 only got 2 teams, this means that you no longer can complain about Illinois or West Virginia. Those two had NO bearing on Missouri's bowl selection.

On to Kansas, the Jayhawks simply had a better record than Missouri. I know Missouri won when the two played, but that doesn't really matter. By that logic Arkansas should be facing Illinois for the title.

Oklahoma got the other Big 12 bid, and they demolished Mizzou not once but twice this season.

You see Missouri had a BCS bid waiting on them, but they lost to OU, now they don't.

That is the thing about college football, the rules are retarded. In regards to your argument there could be 3 teams in a conference they can all go 11-1 and there is 2 teams in another conference, one team deserves to be there, but another one can lose 4 games and still go, that is crap. What college football needs is a playoff. No conferences but divisons. 10 teams in one division, 11 divisions in a league. 2 teams get the day off. Then they play. 4 brackets. Winner of the bracket advances to the final four. Play on.

I really don't see a scenario where a conference has 3 teams go 11-1, but in the event that this does happen you have to assume that the rest of that conference is FLAT OUT AWFUL that season. Why punish other schools for having to play talented teams?

It is well known that I'm not the biggest SEC fan, but I will say this. To go all the way through an SEC schedule without a single loss is almost impossible. By your rules the SEC may not even have a team in a BCS game each season? Doesn't seem fair.

We aren't talking about playoffs, I am for playoffs in NCAA football. BUT, don't hold your breath. The guys that make those decisions are very much against them.

I'm not punishing teams for being good, if they are good they would get into the playoffs. If you have 16 teams in one bracket then there will be 64 teams in the playoffs. That is almost half the league. It will fix the depression and anger in College Football.

You think a playoff will really fix all of this? Get real, just look at the NFL. The Browns are going to be sitting at home with a 10-6 record while the Redskins are playing in the playoffs with a 9-7 record.

With more than 2 conferences in NCAA football the crying would never end. While it would be nice in the national title picture, in cases like this people would still complain.

Dealing with the topic at hand, if Mizzou had one of the 2 best records in the Big 12 they would be in, they don't so they are out. It is as easy as that.

The Rose Bowl is Big 10-Pac 10

Why do we keep seeing this same argument over and over? Mizzou didn't get "cheated" out of anything. They had every opportunity to secure one of their conferences 2 BCS bids and blew it. Quit whining about the system or the rules when the team itself is at fault.

Wow, not only is the argument by BS much better, but R8er knows absolutely nothing.
Dumb idea in his second argument too.
West Virginia lost to South Florida and Pitt, NOT UCONN!
They lost to Oklahoma twice, who is the third ranked team right now. So you would say that they lost to the number three team twice, not the three and eight. Clearly you didn't even know who they lost to.

Plus, it is impossible to get cheated out of a bowl game if you go to one.

Hey *R8ERS94 first let me say the reason WV is in a BCS bowl is because they won the Big East championship and let me say that WV DID NOT LOSE to UCONN. WV stomped a hole in there behinds and left them on the field crying, WV lost to UCF and Rich Rod gave the Pitt game away before he left for Michigan. The reason Missouri is not in a BCS Bowl is because they didn't win there conference championship game.

Report Offensive Comment

I think West Virginia lost to South Florida, not UCF or Connecticut. lol

Report Offensive Comment

Looks like you and me are the only ones that know who they lost to MNFan. Even #1 Mountaineer Fan doesn't know who they lost to.

Report Offensive Comment

Wow, hey Big Dleech, if you would pay attention to what you're saying then you could sound a lot smarter. UConn is way better than Pittsburgh. So that supports my argument, they lost to a worse team. #1 Mountaineer fan, did Illinois win their conference, did Kansas win their conference? No, so I have no idea at what your trying to get. And when your trying to insult me for being wrong, you are also wrong, which makes you sound a lot more stupid than me. ****, If you had the brain capacity to understand what you were saying, which could help you in the long run, you would realize what i was trying to say.

Report Offensive Comment

Hey R8er, you are a retard. I realize that UCONN is better than Pitt, I never disagree with that. YOU SAY THAT WV LOST TO UCONN. YOU ARE AN IDIOT. QUIT TRYING TO DEFEND YOURSELF BY SAYING I AM AN IDIOT LIKE YOU.

Report Offensive Comment

If you play the Team A beat Team B who beat Team C, so Team A is better than TEAM C then you can basically say every team is better than any other team.

If that makes any sense.

Report Offensive Comment

That why i said i was wrong ****

Report Offensive Comment

I understand what you are saying BSchwarts

UConn really isn't that good. we should've lost to Temple and Louisville. without a crazy amount of luck, we would've had 5 losses.

Report Offensive Comment

Hey guys, it looks like we have the male Ruby Noon on our hands.
How can I be wrong for pointing out that you are wrong. You were trying to defend your stupidity by calling me stupid. So I am wrong because I know more than you?

Report Offensive Comment

true Jetstolehomme, but at the same time LSU won 4 games by 1 possession. So they could easily have 7 losses by that logic.

Report Offensive Comment

yeah, but i just like busting my own school's bubble sometimes. i don't know why, though. our basketball team is painfully average again this year so i should be taking as much pride in our other athletic achievements as possible.

Penn State would be 11-1 if Anthony Morelli didn't turn the ball over all the time. Who cares? No one, I'm just excited about Clark at quarterback next year.

Hey at least you don't go to Kentucky, JK

I'm excited that the misory of watching my Broncos this season is almost over. 1 more half and it's time to get excited about the 2008 season.

Kentucky has been a huge bust this season.
I am already excited about Penn State next year. They could have top ten talent, and it should so next year with such a big improvement at quarterback, and only four starters leaving.
