I am so sick and tired of hearing this. Let's review some facts.

1. The Patriots were already penalized. The organization was fined 500 K, and lost a first round pick. I'd say that's a pretty steep price to pay. Yeah, thanks to some savvy work by the GM, they have the 7th pick. Nonetheless any 1st round pick is pretty valuable, and the Patriots already have lost a lot.

Also, Belicheck lost about 250K, close to 150 K more than any other coaching fine in the league's history.

2. Belicheck almost surely isn't the only coach to have ever done this. He just happens to be the only one who's gotten caught. In the past, Mike Shanahan's admitted to using binoculars to spy on games. George Allen threw open the gates of RFK Stadium when opposing kickers were kicking field goals to allow the winds to swirl around. Those are coaches that are revered. Why aren't they hated as much? It's only because fans are envious of the Patriots success.

Earlier this year, the Jets D imitated the snap count of the Ravens offense, resulting in three illegal procedure penalties. While I wuoldn't call that as immoral as videotaping, that would still make them cheaters, right?

3. In the game your referring to, the Patriots outgained the Jets by close to 120 yards in the first half, when they probably couldn't have used any videotapes. Don't give me this "But the Patriots taped them in '06 and knew their signals Bullcrap". Are you telling me the Jets wouldn't change their signals over the course of an entire offseason? Exactly.

Would've, should've, could've. Nobody beat them in the regular season they are 16-0 and that is there record for the season. Now let the real season begin the playoffs. Now that the best teams are playing for the SB let's see who beats who. If the Pats fall in the playoffs then they are not the best team on that given day. Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose and that is why they play the game. PLAY BALL

More stupidity on Fannation. What they did in the Jets game had NOTHING to do woth that Jets game. The tape could not have possibly been used during THAT game. It was for future reference. And surprise, the Jets were caught taping later in the season. Like I said then, EVERY team does it.

As for the Pats giving up there first round draft pick that won't hurt them they have two first round picks. They get the seventh pick which they got from San Fran and they have there regular pick which is the one that the league took from them.
