Moss was tied for 7th in the NFL for receptions, # 2 in yards, 4th in YPG, 1st in TD's w/ 23 !!!! (7 more td's than the # 2 guy), tied for 7th in 20yd+ completions, # 1 in 40 yd+ completions, # 1 w/ 74 catches for 1st downs and ZERO fumbles. He DOMINATED the WR position this season by a landslide. Favre didn't dominate the QB position and pull away from Manning or Romo enough to garner my # 2 spot.
How can your list not have LT on it ? He led the league in rushing, again, and had an awesome year in the ypg and total td's statistical categories. He also made a dent, as usual, catching the ball out of the backfield.
In our other TD you said LT was the consensus # 1 fantasy pick next year, right ? So, how can he be that but not in your top 5 MVP candidates ?!
Manning was more consistent than Romo and just because Romo had more TD's he also had more INT's than Manning and if you go simply by that and passer rating (very close) i can't see me putting him above Manning for the MVP race (what race, brady will win, of course).

The Name on the trophy is MOST VALUABLE PLAYER
not best statistic year
and tell me where the Pack would be without Brett
and tell me how many of you out there Picked the Pack :-) as the number 2 seed in the NFC?
ok all of you are LYING or you would be in vegas wearing tur bans
Yes Moss had the Best year of any wideout in a 16 game season
(note: SIXTEEN GAME SEASON)
but Favre led his team- that not many picked for the playoffs - to a MONSTER year
I did have a hard time debating between Romo and LDT- but you have one man who in his first full year lead a team to a top seed and a man who got a 3 seed
Sorry Romo by a jessica's hair
Ed Reed Fan:4 TD'S IN ONE GAME said 01/01, 12:41 PM
Your point about Brett and GB is irrelevant because we're talking NFL MVP, not packers team MVP.
i still don't see how you have LT as your # 1 fantasy pick next year but not in your top 5 MVP voting Dave.

2 different TDs
and Fantasy world is COMPLETELY different than real world
(I mean come on! How many 2nd tier backs have you traded top Wideouts for? I myself have traded Marvin for desent backs so many times in deals that real life would make Bill Polian wet his PANTS!
Consider:
Marvin Harrison & Tony G for Peyton Manning and Brandon Jacobs?
Did it early this year- the other guy had Brett as well and I had Alge as a TE
Real Life? No way!
Marvin for Frank Gore?
Did it LAST YEAR - and it led me to a second place finish!
Donovan and Marvin for Kitna, TJ and (Pitt D)
Welcome to the Trade that got me third this year in another league- and the Pitt D is why I was 3rd this year
point is Fantasy is NOT real Life
and Brett IS a Legit MVP candidate- Just not Brady this year
and for the record I'd have LDT 6th- he really didn;t imporve the team over last year - call it the MJ complex - you have to do something impressive or else you are just your normal dominant self.

I got to go with Ed Reed. The Brady Moss combo was deadly this season.

Report Offensive CommentPatrick Kerney is the MVP. I know he is a defensive end and I am sure a lot of people haven't the seen (the next) superbowl champs play this year, but this guy was a wrecking ball. He never gives up on a play, keeps his nose down and grinds it out. He led the NFC with sacks and was always in the QB's face. Also a solid run stopper. What a season for Kerney!!! GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!

Report Offensive Commentwestbrook? i know the eagles didnt do to well this year, but imagine if he wasnt on that team. they probably would have won about 4-5 games as opposed to 8 with westbrook.

Report Offensive CommentIm so sick of hearing about Romo. He's nowhere near the caliber player of a Tom Brady, Payton Manning or Drew Brees.

Report Offensive CommentThis was a very deep year for the MVP race... brady will win no doubt... but leaving a tomlinson or favre off you know its deep. Westbrook and Peterson could have consideration.
