the baltimore ravens were the nfls biggest bust this year. no doubt. only other teams who could compare to them are the rams and saints. well the rams were all hurt. thats excusable. they saints were made out to be more than they actually were. the ravens were supposed to win their division and be a deep playoff team. i picked them for the sb before the season. look what they did. they were the worst team in the league, i mean the dolphins? cmon. they sucked it up. biggest bust of the year by far

I'll go with the Bears.
You talk about the ravens, who was their starter in the beginning of the year? Steve McNair? How old is he now?
They also lost alot of key positions, including LB Adalius Thomas. They're defense isnt as good as we all thougt they would be.
The Bears are the biggest bust though. They went to the Super Bowl last year! Look what happened this year, they finished in last in their division.
Now dont give me that curse crap about the loser of the SB misses the playoffs, thats B.S.
The Bears were supposed to win their division, be a top 2 seed in the NFC, and possibly go to the Super Bowl again.
Look what happened. 7-9 record and LAST in the NFC NORTH! They finished behin the Lions and the Vikings! Thats bad if your predicted to get to at least the NFC Title Game.

ooo. good choice. i thought you would go with the saints. yes, the bears did make the super bowl last year. but not many thought they would make it again. did you really think grosman would pull it off? the defense and thomas jones did it all last year, jones is now with my jets and the d had injuries. they are a dissapointment, but i dont think they were ever really that great.yes mcnair was old, but it still looked as though he had one more season. and adalius thomas was a big loss, but only one posistion. i dont think the bears were cursed, they were just never that great. the ravens were awesome last year, and look what happended

The Bears were predicted by many to go deep into the playoffs again.
Baltimore, i dont think, was supposed to be a top 4 seed in the playoffs. They're division got tougher, with Pittsburgh and the Browns on the rise.
It would have been very tough to make the playoffs other than the WC and that even was a LONG, long shot.
Now, for the NFC North. The bears were supposed to win a lot of games in their conference, especially in their division.
The Pack, Minny, and even Detroit surprised many. They rose above expectations, but Chicago also dropped FAR.
The Bears were 2-4 in their division, and even worse, 4-8 in the NFC!!!
Most of the dissapointment has come from injuries for the Ravens. Think about it, at on point, the following players have been injured and missed playing time for Baltimore:
Samari Rolle
Mark Clayton
Jonathan Ogden
Ray Lewis
Steve McNair
Ed Reed
Willis McGahee
Todd Heap
Terrell Suggs
Haloti Ngata
You cant expect to win when you have THAT much injuries and your playing 2nd stringers constantly....

Report Offensive CommentYankeefan, you are flat out wrong. Even with an ancient offense, we put many, many points on the board last year. You can argue that a lot of them came from defensive touchdowns. After all, it seemed like we stripped the ball at least 4 times per game. But our offense still got going when needed to.
That said, stecky is also wrong. Most of the disappointment has come from many injuries to OUR defense, as well. Vasher, Briggs, Harris, and Brown are just a few names of the D that got injured this year. When you have an injury riddled defense as we had this year, then you will give up plays. It's as simple as that.
