This is easy. Haynesworth had 6 sacks in just 13 games as a defensive tackle, which is VERY IMPRESSIVE, and compared to the other starting defensive tackle's in the pro bowl, Wilfork has 2, Kevin Williams has 3, and Pat Williams has 2. He also helped an AMAZING deal in Kyle Vanden Bosch's success this year, along with Antwan Odom (8 sacks), Tony Brown (4 sacks), and backup Travis Laboy (6 sacks) because it takes 2-3 offensive linemen to block Haynesworth. If he did not miss 3 games in the second half of the season, he would of been an easy choice for defensive layer of the year, His value is proven even more, as each of the 3 games he missed, the Titans were killed by Jacksonville, Cincinatti, and Denver each, and the opposing team in those games averaged 4.5 yards a carry. In the 13 other games he played, the opposing team averaged 3.6 yards a carry, which is a yard differance. On top of this, if you watched any of the games he played, it would be easy to notice why he is the best defensive tackle in football. That is why he is the starting defensive tackle in the pro bowl for the AFC along with Vince Wilfork.

Im going to go with NT Kelly Greg as the best DT in the NFL. While Haynesworth is a very good player that is one of the elite in the league, I feel Kelly Greg is the better player. Lets compare stats both team defense and individual.

Greg-80 tack., 56 solo, 3 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery.

Haynesworth-40 tack., 32 solo, 6 sacks

Ravens: #2 Rush defense with allowing 79.2 ypg.

Titans: #5 Rush defense allowing 92.4 ypg

darnell dockett had 9 sacks as a defensive tackle, not saying he is better than haynesworth

I agree that Haynesworth is better but it is also a homer pick. I will wait for arguments.

Good choice, Leaf.

I was gonna go with Gregg or one of the Williams duo, but I couldn't make enough of a case to distinguish either of the Williamses from each other, and I was afraid Gregg was too under the radar. But good pick. Got my vote.

Don't forget Vince Wilfork and Pat Williams, those two guys are playing really well right now.
