(we agree on these 3)
here's where i differ; my next 2 are:
Burgess (OAK) over Odom
W. Smith (NO) over Spicer


Lets compare.....
Burgess vs Odom
Tackles- Odom wins
Sacks- Tie
FF- Burgess wins
Decision- ties
Smith vs. Spicer
Tackles- Smith wins
Sacks- Spicer wins
FF- Spicer wins
Decision- Spicer wins, I win

OVERALL: We tie in one but I win the other, AKA I win!!!


Uh, where are you getting your stats from man ?

Odom has about HALF the tackles Burgess does, unless ESPN is wrong (doubtful).

Burgess- 40 tackles, 8 sacks, 1 pass defended

Odom- only 21 tackles, 8 sacks, 7 pass defended
(i'll still take Burgess and his consistency by having almost twice as many tackles as Odom and a few less passes defended)

Now, onto Smith (me) vs. Spicer (you)

Smith: 66 tackles, 7 sacks, 2 FF, 3 passes defended

Spicer: only 34 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 3 FF, ZERO passes defended

i would sacrafice one HALF sack for almost TWICE as many tackles, one less FF and 3 more pass defences.

I think most coaches, fans, etc. would.

AD went on witness protection after that one INT he had for a TD. He was never seen or heard from again and was on the bench alot, replaced by Junior Seau, who's old enough to be his dad. good investment NE for a 30 yr-old LB/DE who was a product of the Baltimore system and not much else.

Of course, everyone goes for the high sack totals, and completely ignores the 3-4 guys, like Chris Canty and Aaron Smith who are BIG reasons both play on such successful defenses.
