who is the best NFL team in history :2007 Patriots or the 1972 Dolphins


Too early to tell (Patriots still have 3 more games to win before the season's over), but you have to lean towards the Pats. 2 extra regular season games, dominant offense, dominant defense, and an undefeated season in the salary cap-imposed so-called "age of parity."

Also, you didn't make an argument. So you get the Dolphins.

I don't know that. We all ASSUME that. The PTI guys just said the distance between the Pats and the field has shrunk. If and when they win, we can say it. We can't say for sure that they will win it today.

Earlier this year, someone told me that the Pats-Colts game would be a blowout. I said I didn't know who would win, but that it would be a good game, and a close game. I was told I would eat my words, but history vindicated me. My point here: The Pats will likely win out, but they won't get to the Super Bowl in walk.

Sorry child but Griese was a Miami Dolphin QB from 1967-1980. His 1st Probowl was in 1970...SO how could he possibly be a rookie in 1972?

and Bob Griese was drafted in 1967 out of Purdue, and was a Pro Bowler in 1970 and 1971 (among other years), plus a 2 time AFL All Star (1967 and 8).
