The Tigers were the best team in the AL to miss the playoffs last year, and during the offseason, they loaded up. They ripped off the Braves and got Edgar Renterria, and only gave up Jurjiens and some position player who never got called up. Then, they traded for Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis, and gave D-Train an extension! He ain't going anywhere despite the trade rumors! The line-up is stacked where Pudge is actually the worst hitter in the line-up, and he's about a .280 hitter last year!
Rotation: Verlander, Bonderman, Rogers, Willis, and Robertson (no particular order)
Line-up: Granderson, Polanco, Sheffield, Mags, Cabrera, Guillen, Renterria, Thames, and Pudge
Bench (potentially): Inge, Casey, Raburn, Santiago, and Jacque Jones
Bull-pen threats (though not the best bullpen): Rodney, Todd Jones, Zumaya (when he returns), and Bobby Seay
This team is loaded, so loaded they can afford some line-up injuries. Come on, take the challenge! I don't care who, but a Red Sox fan would be intriging.

Bo Sox will win more games and 1 or 2 teams in the national league also...... probably the mets.... and the team that lost the world series this year.

Would you like to give me some reasons? Help me out here. Magglio Ordonez: Batting title and runner-up MVP. Granderson: 20,20,20,20 club on homeruns, steals, triples, and doubles. That's Willie Mays territory! Polanco: Finished in the top 5 for batting averages, as a fantastic contact hitter for the Tigers. Verlander: Ace of a staff that is just gonna get better, as he is quite young. Cabrera: .300+ hitter with 35 homers last season. Guillen is a .300 hitter, Thames has power, Pudge brings the best defense out of any catcher, and a good bat for ninth in the order. Sean Casey off the bench is a .290-.300 hitter, and has a good glove at first. Granderson's fielding is gold glove caliber. Renterria is a capable .300+ hitter. The Tigers will score so many runs, other pitchers will be throwing equipment, when relieved without a quality start. Now, tell me about why the Red Sox, and two other NL teams will win more games.

you want reasons .... the bo sox and mets are better and they always win lots of games you cant just pick 1 team out of 30 and say they are gonna win the most games ? the odds are stacked up against you . You are puttin yourself in a spot to be wrong easily so i say you are wrong . I picked 2 teams so i have twice the chance to be right but really i can pick the rest of the league. So i will if any other team scores more wins then im right and you are wrong sound good So there you have it the tigers wont win the most games cause of odds and that is my reason id bet my money on me all day long jeez you didnt even want any odds c how easy it is i win

You can't pick two teams to win more than the rest of the other teams unless you're picking them to tie! Only so many teams, even when there's a tie, can win the most games! With your reasoning, maybe I should pick 30 teams so my odds are 100%! Doesn't sound so great now, does it? Come on, just pick one! I think you misunderstood the kind of debate I was going for.

the tigers pitching is really not good anybody doubts it just go to mlb.com and look up tigers stats from last year their starting pitching is not good check out their era, only Verlander is good, and if Zumaya is not healthy their bullen is really really bad.
