05:26 PM ET 05.23 | Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch had a court date this morning for a motion to suppress evidence in Alameda County District Court, stemming from charges filed against him for driving under the influence of alcohol in July of last year. According to Teresa Drenick, assistant district attorney for the Alameda County District Attorney???s office, the motion to suppress was continued to July 5. Drenick also said that no court date has been set. Lynch, 26, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol early Saturday morning on July 14 when a police officer observed him driving north on Interstate 880 in Oakland, weaving in and out of lanes in a white Ford van, and nearly colliding with two cars.

NCAA: EA Sports uses Tim Tebow's name in NCAA Football 10

02:24 PM ET 05.23 | Electronic Arts is currently involved with the O'Bannon lawsuit against the NCAA for using players likenesses without compensation. Their defense for their NCAA Football video game series is that they never used a player by name, but that argument took a hit when it was discovered that EA used Tim Tebow by name in a formation package that was exclusive to the Florida Gators' playbook. One of the pillars of the NCAA is amateurism, which would prohibit athletes from being compensated based solely on their status as an athlete. However, the NCAA itself and its partners don't seem to have any issues doing just that themselves.

09:54 AM ET 05.23 | The Baltimore Orioles learned today that infield prospect Jonathan Schoop will miss some significant time with a back injury. The second baseman will be meeting with a second doctor to get another opinion on his back, but it looks like the diagnosis will not be any better. Schoop had been playing with Triple-A Norfolk and Double-A Bowie over the past two seasons. He was with Norfolk at the time of the injury.

NBA: Would Roy Hibbert have factored into final play of Game 1?

03:18 PM ET 05.23 | On the surface -- or in other words in hindsight -- not having Hibbert on the court was an egregious mistake and makes it seem like Indiana either wanted to lose or suffered a massive brain fart. It wouldn't have been the first of the night as Paul George nearly lost the game for Indiana when he tried to pass the ball to a player sitting on the bench. There's no winning in this argument, there's only logic. What that logic suggests is if Hibbert had been on the court for the final possession of the game, he'd have been defending Chris Bosh. The way the play ended up, Bosh was nowhere near the bucket or LeBron when the play was made and 2.2 seconds is not enough time for Roy Hibbert to be effective on that play the way it turned out. Bosh was just arriving at the bucket when LeBron drove it home, meaning Hibbert would have been an after-thought.

NHL: Sens head coach holds 13 second press conference after loss

03:17 PM ET 05.23 | The Ottawa Senators were trashed by the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference showdown on Wednesday despite hanging with the Pens for two periods of hockey. After the game, Senators head coach Paul MacLean spoke with reporters for roughly 13 seconds about his team's play in Game 4 and his wide-eyed look was proof the beating still hadn't fully sunk in yet. Perhaps the most surprising part of the post-game press conference was how passive MacLean was despite just having the Penguins knock them down and then stomp all over them in front of an Ottawa friendly crowd. Most coaches would go ballistic after such a loss and many have for losses that haven't even taken place in as meaningful a spot as this loss. Ottawa's facing elimination after the 7-3 loss and people around the club won't be as passive as MacLean if the season ends before a sixth and seventh game is reached.

05:07 PM ET 05.20 | Jennifer Johnson was able to pick up her first LPGA victory yesterday. Other than bogeys on the first two holes in the first two days, she played very steady golf. Jennifer Johnson came out of nowhere on Sunday, and picked up her first win on the tour. She fired a seven-under par 65 in the final round, and picked up a much-needed $180,000 for her effort. She had a problem with the par-four fifth hole during the weekend, but back-to-back 65s will most generally win you a golf tournament.

06:20 PM ET 04.24 | NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kurt Busch climbed into a ride of a different kind on Tuesday as part of a media event to promote the V8 Supercars Series race May 17-19 at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. As part of the promotion, Busch made a 20-minute run around the road course in a V8 Supercar, while Supercar driver James Courtney took Busch's No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet NASCAR Sprint Cup car for a spin. "It was sure a thrill to get into a car that I have watched and admired for many years during all those Supercar road races," Busch said. "It was also a little weird driving the Supercar and watching my car stretch its legs down the straightaway." Before getting into the Supercar, though, Busch acclimated himself with the track by driving his familiar ride, his Sprint Cup car. "I had a blast driving my car on the road course and even more of a blast in the V8 Supercar," Busch said. "The Circuit of The Americas is an awesome track with a lot of interesting and fun turns." When it came time to climb into the V8 Supercar, Busch had a few things to get used to. Opening a door to get into the car, as opposed to climbing in the window, was the easy part. Busch had to get used to a car with the steering wheel on the right side and the shifter to his left.
