01:40 PM ET 02.27 | After dismantling the overmatched Patrick Cummins in the co-main event of UFC 170, Daniel Cormier is looking ahead to his next fight at light heavyweight and he's hoping for a huge step up in competition. If Cormier gets his wish, his next bout will either be against a No. 1 contender or it will be for the title. With his only win at 205-pounds coming against Cummins, Cormier will need to fight against a worthy challenger before he is able to throw his name into the title mix.

11:07 AM ET 02.24 | Former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz has been "retired" from mixed martial arts after suffering back-to-back losses to Carlos Condit and Georges St-Pierre, but he appeared open to a return over the weekend while talking to reporters backstage at UFC 170. Diaz would be willing to return to the UFC to compete inside of the octagon, but only if he is able to get a crack at the title. Unfortunately for Diaz, UFC president Dana White said that the Stockton native is not even in the title picture. Without Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre for the foreseeable future, the UFC is in desperate need of a star. We will need to see the numbers from UFC 170 to see how Ronda Rousey can carry the torch, but there is no denying a Diaz return would be among the biggest fights of the year.

12:36 PM ET 02.17 | After Rashad Evans was forced to withdraw from his co-main event matchup with Daniel Cormier at UFC 170, it looked like Cormier's highly anticipated debut at light heavyweight would have to wait. However, an undefeated former two-time All-American wrestler, Patrick Cummins, stepped up to the plate and took the fight on short notice. As soon as the fight was announced, Cummins began making some waves by talking about how he "broke" Cormier during training when the two wrestlers went at each other and he even went as far as to say he made Cormier cry. Cormier had denied those claims by Cummins, but now he has opened up about what went down. One thing is true: Cormier did cry after Cummins beat him in training. However, it was outside factors with his personal life and Olympic dreams that caused him to break down.

09:58 AM ET 02.14 | The issue of marijuana use has been brought up in multiple sports over the past few weeks. UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is the latest athlete to speak out on the issue and she was very clear that she does not believe athletic commissions should be testing for marijuana when conducting their drug tests. Not only is it far from a performance-enhancing drug, but Rousey says testing for marijuana is beyond the athletic commission's rights and an invasion of privacy.

11:40 AM ET 02.13 | Late Wednesday night, news surfaced that a leg injury had forced former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans out of his scheduled matchup with Daniel Cormier in the co-main event of UFC 170 later this month. Immediately after the announcement, UFC officials confirmed that Cormier would be pulled from the card and UFC 170 would be official with 10 fights. Chael Sonnen, who is always down for a fight, offered to step up on short notice to allow Cormier to remain on the card, but the UFC did not seem interested in the offer. Instead, they will target a rebooking for a couple of months down the line. According to reports, UFC CEO Lorenzo Ferttita wants to keep the Evans vs. Cormier fight planned and is likely to rebook the bout for UFC 172.
