04:09 PM ET 05.24 | The Minnesota Timberwolves may try to move up from the ninth overall selection in the 2013 NBA Draft to the fourth overall, which belongs to the Charlotte Bobcats. Flip Saunders is reportedly a big fan of Victor Oladipo, who is expected to be off of the draft board by the time the Timberwolves will have their pick. If Minnesota stays at nine a source expects them to draft Shabazz Muhammad, though the Detroit Pistons are also expected to be interested in Muhammad and pick one spot ahead.

04:05 PM ET 05.24 | The Dallas Mavericks are preparing for an active Summer of NBA free agency action. Reports have already indicated that the Mavericks will make a run at Dwight Howard, and are considering trading out of the 13th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft in order to save cap space, but they may also be preparing to make a pitch to Jarrett Jack and Jerryd Bayless as well this Summer. Darren Collison is a restricted free agent, and if Dallas is looking at other point guard options, his time with the Mavericks may already be up.

02:53 PM ET 05.24 | The NBA Draft is fast approaching and while four fanbases remain glued to the tube to see if their favorite team can make championship dreams come true, 26 other teams are combing draft sheets and reviewing tape to see if they can't find the player to take them to the level of Conference Finals dominance. One of those players may be UCLA forward Shabazz Muhammad, but according to ESPN draft analyst Chad Ford, Muhammed may take an epic tumble which could land him outside the lottery picks. Ford currently has Muhammad mocked 14th overall to the Utah Jazz which is not only an absolute steal for the Jazz but it's a representation of how much Muhammad's stock has dropped over the last month. But while Ford has Muhammad mocked to the Jazz at the very end of the lottery picks, the question needs to be asked, how real is the possibility that Muhammad falls out of the lottery?

07:59 AM ET 05.24 | Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is unquestionably one of the best shooters in professional basketball and he was on fire early in the NBA postseason. Unfortunately for Curry and the Warriors, the San Antonio Spurs were too much too handle and they were bounced from the playoffs. Curry will have a chance to show his skills on a much larger platform, however. Curry is expected to join the Team USA basketball at some point after July's mini-camp. Team USA features one of the greatest groups of athletes in the world, but it is the lack of shooters that holds the team back. That will all change with Curry in the lineup.

07:06 AM ET 05.24 | Dwight Howard's struggles have been well-documented and parsed for the better part of 2012-13, a season in which he averaged his lowest scoring and rebounding averages since 2006-07. None of this dampens [Mitch Kupchak's] belief that Howard will return to the Lakers. ... Kupchak won't have clarity on Howard's future anytime soon. A source familiar with Howard's thinking says he plans to test free agency and has considered the Lakers, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta and Golden State. Nothing remains binding, though. The source added Howard's main concern involves "what team he feels has the best chance to win championships, has the best team and system around him." The source also stressed Howard has not and will not ask the Lakers to make any moves on his behalf.
