02:50 PM ET 05.24 | Florida added another prospect to its 2014 recruiting class on Thursday night with the commitment of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Northridge High tight end Cyontai Lewis. Lewis is listed by 247Sports at 6'5" and 208 pounds, by Rivals at 6'5" and 212 pounds, by ESPN at a suspicious 6'4" and 230, by Abolverdi at 6'6" and 211 pounds, by his own Hudl page at 6'5" and 196 pounds. If Lewis is going to be a tight end at the collegiate level, he's a receiving tight end first and foremost, and will need to add considerable weight before ever taking the field for Florida, which has four scholarship tight ends on the roster, none listed at less than Kent Taylor's 224 pounds.

02:43 PM ET 05.24 | Lydia Murphy-Stephans, the newly-minted president of Pac-12 Networks, told reporters Wednesday that it is the obligation of Pac-12 sports fans to leave DirecTV if the satellite provider continues to refuse to cave to the network's demands. "We're on schedule, and right on plan, in terms of distribution for the Pac-12 Networks," she said. "I feel good about that. There's an obligation as fans, that if they want Pac-12 Networks and DirecTV is not carrying the Pac-12 Networks, the fan has to be willing to drop DirecTV and pick up a carrier that is." Murphy-Stephans' comments come on the heels of recent remarks by Pac-12 President Larry Scott, who also instructed fans to drop their DirecTV packages in favor of providers who carry the conference's new channel. DirecTV has not placed the fledgling Pac-12 Network on its system yet, claiming that the conference's price and placement demands are too great. The satellite company is one of four major providers -- Verizon, AT&T, and Charter -- who all have refused the network's demands.

02:40 PM ET 05.24 | Charlie Weis hasn't coached a Notre Dame football game since 2009. In fact, he's now coaching football games at Kansas. But even though it's been years since Wies was in South Bend, the Irish are still paying their former head coach. He has already received roughly $10 million in buyout payments and is scheduled to receive $8 million more through 2015. Although it's quite silly that Kansas paid a coach who has never had any real success at the college level $2.5 million for a campaign wherein he won only one game, at least Charlie Weis was in Lawrence showing up to work every day and trying as hard as Charlie Weis could to win football games.

07:52 AM ET 05.24 | It was recently announced that Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski would remain the Team USA basketball coach through the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, but there was still some concern about how his position at Duke would be affected. There was some discussion that Coach K could step down as Duke head coach to focus on the national team before retiring from coaching, but he put that belief to rest on Thursday when he announced that he would be staying with Duke for the foreseeable future.

07:15 AM ET 05.24 | LSU's offer to rapper Snoop Lion's son Cordell Broadus turned some heads -- and no wonder. Snoop Lion, formerly known as Snoop Dogg, is a hip-hop icon whose celebrity stretches through multiple generations. The immediate question becomes, how good of a football prospect is his son? Well, it took only a few plays into his highlights to see that his father isn't the only talented male figure in the household. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Broadus is a really good football player that is worthy of big-time offers due to his ability on the football field alone. ... He is very long and seems to have some decent muscle mass and the ability to add a lot more down the road. Despite being a little thin now, Broadus shows good strength and the toughness to work the middle of the field.
