11:43 AM ET 05.21 | Former Notre Dame tight end Jake Golic hasn't had the opportunity to make much of an impact on the field with the Fighting Irish, so now he will look for a better chance to make his presence felt by joining former teammate Gunner Kiel with the Cincinnati Bearcats. Jake Golic's father, Mike, announced the news on ESPN Radio Tuesday morning before Jake took to Twitter to confirm the news. Cincinnati needed to add tight end depth with the loss of Travis Kelce to the NFL Draft in April.

04:39 PM ET 05.21 | Tight end Jake Golic has decided to transfer to the Cincinnati Bearcats. Golic will attend Cincinnati as a grad student next year and will play his final season of eligibility. Because Golic is a grad student, he is eligible to play immediately and will not have to sit out a year per NCAA transfer rules. Golic didn't record any receptions at Notre Dame, but should have more of an opportunity at Cincinnati with the departure of Travis Kelce.
