02:00 PM ET 06.18 | Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin struggled with hamstring injuries in each of the last two seasons, so the team is looking to do whatever it can to avoid making it three consecutive years, including giving Austin days off during minicamp, according to Carlos Mendez of the Dallas Star-Telegram. Austin, 28, was given a day off during the three-day mandatory minicamp and sat out a few of the voluntary practice sessions before that. In 2012, Austin managed to play in all 16 games for the Cowboys, but missed some time in training camp with hamstring issues and left a couple games early due to hip and ankle injuries. He missed six games in 2011 with hamstring problems.

01:48 PM ET 06.18 | The Minnesota Vikings are open to playing more games in London, according to Neil Reynolds of the NFL UK. Reynolds spent time with the Vikings, and talked with Lester Bagley, Vikings vice president of public affairs and stadium development, who did not rule out the possibility of the team playing more games overseas as they wait for their new stadium to be completed in 2016. Bagley added that the team would see how this season's Sept. 29 bout against the Pittsburgh Steelers went at Wembley Stadium before making any decision on a return to London. The Vikings have never played in London before. This season, they are taking part in one of two NFL games at Wembley. The second will be played on Oct. 27 between the San Francisco 49ers and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

07:05 AM ET 06.18 | Storylines o' plenty will follow Gang Green into training camp, but few ex-Jets will loom larger than Tim Tebow. Tebow's contract with the Patriots is a two-year deal for $1.36 million, according to ESPNBoston.com. There's no signing bonus, no guaranteed money, just the minimum salaries and a $25,000 workout bonus in 2014. The Jets aren't paying Tebow anymore, but they're still paying money to the Broncos -- $1.53 million, per last year's trade agreement. In other words, the Jets are paying more for a ghost than the Patriots will pay over two years for the actual player -- if he makes the team. That's hardly a lock, although owner Robert (We Love His Spirituality) Kraft is pulling for him. Tebow is "the real deal," according to Kraft.

07:04 AM ET 06.18 | Summer vacation is underway for much of the NFL, with particularly joyous downtime for players such as Dwight Freeney and Ahmad Bradshaw, who inked deals. But quite a few accomplished players will likely be waiting until at least late July. ... 1. DE John Abraham -- Yes, he's 35. Now that that's out of the way, let's acknowledge that his production and availability warrant employment given how hard it is to find proven pass rusher at this stage of the year. Abraham has averaged nearly 11 sacks over the past three seasons and has more (122) than anyone else currently playing. And though it seems he's typically battling some injury or another, he's missed just two games in the past six years. ... Best fit: Broncos.

07:03 AM ET 06.18 | Over the past few months, Rob Gronkowski has recorded far more surgeries than receptions, and the setbacks mount this week. [Can] the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady count on Gronkowski to have another Pro Bowl season in 2013? Gronkowski is slated for back surgery Tuesday and is expected to miss a portion of training camp. The main goal is to have Gronkowski ready for New England's Week 1 AFC East battle against the Buffalo Bills. But how effective with Gronkowski be when he returns? "He will be Gronk-ish, I'll say, but I don't know if he will be the same explosive, strong, physical Gronkowski," ESPN NFL analyst Jason Taylor said. ... Taylor also mentioned all of the offseason work in the weight room and strength training that Gronkowski is missing. It will take time to regain his full strength and flexibility.
