07:23 AM ET 04.17 | Peyton Manning was back in Denver Wednesday, and, after a trip to Oklahoma, will return in time to get back to work with the Broncos on Monday. Manning already has worked with new receiver Emmanuel Sanders, who will account for another $6 million this season, along with returning targets Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, Wes Welker and Andre Caldwell, as part of his private workouts last week at Duke University. The new talent comes at the expense of departing standouts. ... "We lost many players and some great friends," Manning said. "That's the worst part about football. When you form some friendships with these guys and really put a lot of hard work in -- the business side comes into play. We added some great players. I'm excited about working with them starting on Monday."

07:23 AM ET 04.17 | In the eyes of many, Tom Brady needs more talented targets, and it's now a matter of whether he'll get them. The entire NFL is fascinated with Bill Belichick and everything he does and says. Once again, they are watching him and the general consensus is that he will be extremely active in the draft. They currently hold the 29th overall pick. What I continue to hear from team officials is that despite the Patriots working out a number of quarterbacks, they truly feel like that [Brady] only has a few years left. So what the Patriots really want is a major receiving threat for him so they can take that last shot or two at the Super Bowl. ... Now, part of what makes Belichick interesting to follow is that he rarely does as expected. But what seems to be certain is that he will try to move in the draft, likely upward, and everyone will be watching him.

07:21 AM ET 04.17 | If the 49ers are considering moving around the draft board next month, they could offer teams multiple draft picks -- or they could offer picks and a player. That player? According to a league source, the 49ers have been shopping running back LaMichael James, a second-round pick in the 2012 draft. James ran for 5,082 yards and scored 53 rushing touchdowns while at Oregon. However, he has had only scant work as a runner with the 49ers and finds himself behind Frank Gore, Kendall Hunter and perhaps Marcus Lattimore on the depth chart at running back this season. James served as the team's primary returner last year and played well in that role, averaging nearly 11 yards a punt return. But the source said he has made it clear to the team he wants a bigger role as running back as well.

Raiders desperately trying to move Pryor

07:20 AM ET 04.17 | Will he stay or will he go? Before the Raiders' offseason program launches next week, they have one fairly important bit of roster maintenance to address: The future of quarterback Terrelle Pryor. Per a league source, the Raiders hope to move Pryor before the start of the offseason program. It's currently unclear whether he'll be cut if he's not traded. The effort to deal the third-round pick in the 2011 supplemental draft (the last player chosen by Al Davis) commenced in January, even though news of it didn't surface until the league meetings in March. After playing sparingly in his first two years, he appeared in 11 games with nine starts in 2013. But Pryor eventually was supplanted by Matt McGloin, an undrafted rookie from Penn State.

07:19 AM ET 04.17 | Not long after their guy, Jadeveon Clowney, came under some fire, his camp has returned fire -- with James "Bus" Cook going so far as to say his client would consider working out for a team. [Cook] believes that it is unfair that the pass-rush specialist has been dogged by questions about his desire and work ethic. ... Cook also said that it is possible that Clowney will conduct one more pre-draft workout for an NFL team -- contrary to reports he is finished with workouts. Yet clearly, Cook added, if Clowney does work out for a team it would be an extremely mild workout, given the risk of injury. ... "He may do one more thing, for one team, maybe a five-minute workout," Cook said. "It doesn't make sense to do more than that, given the fact of what happened to the Clemson kid."
