01:55 PM ET 04.11 | There is very little doubt that 27-year-old Colombian striker Radamel Falcao will generate a lot of interest over the summer. Falcao is already considered the most highly sought after striker in soccer, and he has drawn interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City. With two of Europe's biggest squads in pursuit of Falcao, Sir Alex Ferguson had decided to jump in the mix and let Manchester United's interest known. There are rumors that Falcao could demand a $72 million bid from Man U over the summer. The Reds could also throw in Mexican International Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez as part of the deal after his recent struggles for the club.

11:49 AM ET 04.10 | The Seattle Sounders gave a courageous effort in Mexico last night as they tried to stage a comeback in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals. They would fall 2-1 on aggregate after allowing a first-half goal on a set piece despite drawing with Santos Laguna 1-1 last night. Santos moved to 19-1-1 in 22 CCL matches at home. Seattle made a big push in the second half, but came up short despite a goal from Lamar Neagle. Seattle was not as composed in the first half though as Darwin Quintero scored in the 21st minute off a free kick from 25 yards. The Sounders' second half push caused sloppy passing from Santos, but Seattle failed to find the winner. Santos now awaits the winner of the other semifinal between the LA Galaxy and Monterrey.

03:04 PM ET 04.08 | Steve Cherundolo returned to the Hannover lineup yesterday for the first time since December. He started and went the full match in a 0-0 draw against Stuttgart. Cherundolo may still be in the mix for a roster spot with the national team, especially if they continue to deal with injury issues, but he will have to use the remaining six weeks of matches in the Bundesliga to demonstrate his fitness. Hannover is only four points back off a Europa League qualifying spot and will play half of the remaining matches on the road, including next week at Freiburg.

11:06 AM ET 04.07 | AC Milan is set to fine Mario Balotelli after the striker was caught smoking in a train toilet on Saturday en route to Florence for the club's clash with Fiorentina on Sunday morning. The striker has been hitting the headlines for all the right reasons since moving from Manchester City at the end of January and has scored seven goals in as many Serie A games; however, several reports in Italy said the club was ready to crack down on the 22-year-old after a conductor caught him red-handed smoking on the train this weekend, which is prohibited by Italian law. Milan vice president Adriano Galliani was also on the train and had initially been having fun during the journey, trying on a hat belonging to one of the guards and joking with members of the squad. That was until he was told of Balotelli's indiscretion by the train's most senior guard, who, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, said, "Maybe you have to pull Balotelli's ears, because he was smoking in the toilet."
