Did Gophers coach rip columnist on Twitter?

Word has it that Gophers football coach Tim Brewster was ordered to delete a Twitter.com entry that took a large shot at Strib sports columnist Patrick Reusse. By the time I heard about this, the alleged tweet from Brew was gone from "Play4brew." But an e-mailer name Ron claims that Brew posted this: How would you like to wake up in the morning and look in the mirror...... if your [sic] Fat Pat.

Oh my.

Tell him to read the FN blogs. That will blow their skirts up.

If true, good. Reusse is an idiot.

I like this coach. He seems to go all out for his program.

We have a new contestant in our, "Who has the largest gravitational pull" contest. Joining Jabba the Frontal Butt, Ralph Fridgidaire, and The Great Mangina is Fat Pat from Fatvegas, MN.

Sticks and stones can break my bones but..........don't you dare send me an ugly twitter or I'm telling!

April 21, 2009  11:09 AM ET

I would "Play4brew"

April 21, 2009  11:11 AM ET

I guess Fat Pat replaces Fat Phil on the gravitational pull 2nd string then.

Since when have sports columnists become "sacred cows" and exempt from being slammed? They certainly do enough of it themselves. It's time that professional and college sports take the "muzzles" off the coaches and managers and let them speak their mind. Isn't that a First Amendment right??

Has Phil lost mass since his departure?

The whining Press Pus sies need 2 minutes in the penalty box with quip master Gator manning the Jumbotron.

You want to see what is two bus stops past hell?

He'll have "Fat Pat" tattooed on his hairy balls and his wife's forehead after that.

Are there any men left?

There was a time when journalists of integrity and honor weren't hard to find. These folks retired, died, or became Andy Rooney. The pop culture phenomenon, journalist as star ruined the profession, overwhelming it with amoral navel gazers concerned only with the status of their byline. Accuracy means nothing to these minions.

if you feel compelled to express you distaste, then, without compunction, spit in their grits, pee in their hair misters, trip them into cow patties.

I do confess to reading Stewart Mandell's scribblings. All things considered, I like Stew.
