Buffaloes gain OT commitment
Nebraska football's pipeline into Colorado is still flowing. The latest link is to Douglas County's Mike Moudy, who committed to the Cornhuskers this past weekend. A 6-foot-7, 292-pound offensive tackle, Moudy also had offers from Colorado State, Kansas, Kansas State, Northwestern, Stanford and Wyoming. After Moudy made a second visit to Nebraska recently, Douglas County coach Jeff Ketron said, "He said that was the place he needed to be." Moudy played tight end in the 2007 Class 5A championship game for Douglas County, so his athleticism is good, Ketron said, adding Moudy "gained 45 pounds after this past season and shot up another inch or two."

Umm.........Nebraska is the Cornhuskers, not the Buffaloes. Also you might want to run a picture of Bo Pellini not Dan Hawkins.
I just love it when a plan comes together.

What the ****? The article says the player committed to Nebraska, the title implies Colorado, as does the picture. Maybe writing titles and selecting illustrations was oursourced to Texas A&M?
Regardles of this confusing ****-up, it is good to see threads on Big 12 teams. Yesterday's on Mizzou wasn't as informative as I'd hoped, maybe because Mizzou has nothing noteworthy going on just now. Hopeful of gaining some insight into the Nebraska and Colorado programs today.

It is nice to see Big 12 articles, if they just made some sense. So, is this recruit going to Colorado or Nebraska?

I think (not 100% sure) he's going to Nebraska. Hopefully this thread will attract a few Husker and Buff fans who can give us an update on what all is happening with the programs in Lincoln and Boulder. I know Nebraska is supposed to be making strides, not sure of a lot of details. Don't see how Colorado can get any worse. Will check back later hoping for enlightenment.

Agree, although theoretically I suppose it is possible for any program to get worse. On a larger theme it is interesting to note that Meyer left Utah and continued success, even improved with more talent. Hawkins' success on the other hand may largely have been due to Boise St playing weak competition in a weak conference. Meyer won with Zook recruits and with his own. Hawkins was a total failure with Barnett's people and hasn't done much better with his own.

Congratulations on landing the kid. Hope he works out well for y'all. Is the general consensus in Lincoln that Pellini is gonna get the program restored? What kind of time frame do oyu think you'rlooking at?

If not this year, it will be the following year. There are a couple of question still in the air. 1st we have 3 QB's that could start or play and a forth coming back from surgery this coming fall. They all looked dam good during spring ball. I think Zac Lee will be named the starter as of right now, he is a better leader and knows the off system better then any of the other 3 QB???s. And 2nd how quick will Bo's recruits pick up on his def. system. It looked promising during the spring game, the def. looked fast and a lot more competitive then last year.

Ohio State coach Pete Carroll is writing a book- called Win Forever or something like that. And Charlie Weis, head coach at Florida is doing a new workout video for Sam's Club. Oklahoma coach Mike Leach prefers night games, and Boise State atlethic director Tom Osborne is pushing for an automatic berth in the BCS. (how's that for the next botched article?)

T-Rex Mangino seems to have his team maintaining a fairly high level of play. Not sure if Mizzou is gonna be a contender long term or not, but right now they don't have the depth to lose everyone they lost and re-load without missing a step. So they won't be as strong in 2009 as they were last year. Who the **** knows about Colorado? There are HS teams in the Dallas/Ft Worth area that could beat K-State and I-State. Hell, maybe their JV squads could. Not sure who you play from the South this year, but I'd say you have a shot at being very competetive in the North.
