07:47 AM ET 04.25 | The Super Bowl is not headed across the pond to London anytime soon, despite a report that made it seem the NFL was about to export America's greatest sporting event. Every couple of years, the idea of an international Super Bowl comes up and creates a bit of hysteria on radio shows and in the media. But commissioner Roger Goodell made a point Friday to say the league "has never looked at London or Mexico City" as a Super Bowl site. The next three Super Bowls are in Miami, Arlington, Tex., and Indianapolis. The league will soon award the 2013 game. The three finalists are New Orleans, Miami and Glendale, Ariz. "There is not an international city," Goodell said. "Maybe New Orleans is considered an international city." The BBC reported Friday that the NFL has had "substantive talks" with officials in London about hosting the Super Bowl. London has shown tremendous interest in hosting the Super Bowl and the Patriots and Bucs will play a regular-season game this year at Wembley Stadium, the third in a series that began with the Giants and Dolphins in 2007.

Given the good that hosting a Super Bowl does for a city's economy, Goodell had damn well better be denying a London SB and had damn well better not ever let the game go abroad.

Make the Superbowl a frikken playoff game!

Bring it back to the fans who actually paid for season tickets all their lives.

If that means a Superbowl in Green Bay - I say outstanding!

After outsourcing millions of US Manufacturing Jobs, the next step would be outsourcing the Super Bowl. Imagine the possible tax breaks involved. What's good for Corporate America is Good For America, and don't forget it!

We want to popularize the NFL - use a billboard.

If we wanted to popularize democracy and inspire the Iraqi people we should have held the 2002 elections in Baghdad.

Would have been cheaper than the invasion.

being a very frequent world traveler, the euro's don't understand, or appreciate, "American Football"
the super bowl belongs here--not London, not Toronto and most definitely, NOT MEHICO CITY!
