Panthers willing to deal goalie

Expect the Panthers to listen to offers for Tomas Vokoun, who is due $12 million over the next two years and is willing to consider waiving his no-trade clause. GM Jacques Martin hasn't committed to him as the No. 1 goalie or given a strong public endorsement. Free agent Craig Anderson wants to be a No. 1, and would cost half as much. Martin projects prospect Jacob Markstrom, 19, as a ''No. 1 goalie at some point,'' though he will remain in Europe next season.

Not sure where youre going with that Varmalov has clearly taken over for years to come. Im sure the flyers will look at him but with the salary cap it would be tough to fit him in.

Varmalov has played well against the Rangers in the Playoffs, but I wouldn't put the Number 1 stamp for years to come on him based solely on a few games. He's young and very untested. Let's not forget, the Rangers are the lowest scoring Eastern playoff team by far. A real test for Varlamov will be in later rounds if the Caps get by the Rangers.

Vokoun just doesnt get the respect he deserves. He's easily one of the best tenders in the game today. All he does is stop pucks for bad teams. His save percentage the last 4 seasons:.919%.920%.919%.926% (this season)Imagine this guy with a good club. He'd be getting more W's and more recognition.

Precisely why he'd be a great fit in Washington or Philly for that matter. Cap space is another issue as I haven't looked at team's cap space.

TVo is a good goaltender, but he's getting paid ALOT of money ($5.7M) a year. Andy would cost much less. The problem with TVo is you can't play him every game...he gets tired during the season.

Are you listening Mr. Holmgren? It's time to make a change. Free up some cap space, ship Nitty out make Biron #2 and get Vokoun. Very underrated netminder

Great. I enjoyed hearing "Song #2" by Blur when Vokoun makes a good save. Guess we'll need some other cheesey song or chant for whoever replaces him.

From a recent fans meeting with Don Maloney of the Coyotes, we're very likely to pursue Anderson as a backup for Bryzgalov and to give him some serious push to compete in net..
