Bill Duffy is expected to have the best draft of any NBA agent this year after signing three projected lottery picks for representation: UConn center Hasheem Thabeet, Arizona forward Jordan Hill and Arizona forward/guard Chase Budinger.

uh, good for him.

He obviously is going to have a good draft night. Especially with Thabeet and Hill who should both land somewhere in the Top 15 picks.

Well then. Lets pop some bottles and party like a rockstar Bill Duffy.

Haven't seen a ton of hill--
but I think I would stay away from drafting him-
he strikes me as a decent college big who won't transition well
to the NBA game

He looks to be another athletic big man that scouts fall in love over. I'm not high on him either but like I said he's one of those athletic bigs that GM's and scouts can't help but draft highly.

We are rarely are gonna see a Dwight Howard, Yao Ming or Shaq so you have to go for what you can, and sometimes teams aren't looking for the next big all-star but a player who will be serviceable to them for 10-15 seasons.

AKA Anthony Randolph, Tyrus Thomas...

What is the big deal Mr. Duffy its not like any of these guys are gems....

Thabeet: The Next Dikembe Mutumbo
Hill: The Next Joakim Noah
Budinger: The Next Matt Bonner

Oh I understand- and agree-
but teams picking at the top of the draft don't need 'servicable'
players- they need PLAYERS.....

Like I said- I really haven't watched him play that much-
I just get a bad vibe when his team, that has NBA talent-
loses that many games during the year....

Living in Tucson I've seen a lot of Hill and Budinger and if these guys go as lottery picks that indicates a weak draft to me. Hill is a stud...when he wants to be. Continuous desire is his shortcoming. Budinger is pretty good but I see a lot of Adam Morrison in him, great in the college game but just bench player in the NBA.

The Agent would be representing three week players. The only sure player in this draft is the guy from Oklahoma, can't remember his name.

Blake Griffin

None of the above excite me. Thabeet will go to the Clippers and never be heard from again. The others success (or lack thereof) will depend on whjere they land. Call me when they've done something.

If thabeet has half the life that dike has had he would be a jem

What's the big deal. That's only 3 players and they haven't proven anything. Thabeet has no offense and his defense will be very suspect because teams will pulll him out from the paint. The center that was drafted by Indiana from Georgetown U. last year is even way better then Thabeet and yet he hasn't done anything in the NBA. The 2 Arizona players didn't show anything at all in college. They were just mediocre and their team got lucky to get in the tournament this year.

April 29, 2009  02:19 PM ET

thabeet is soft, only a good college center @ best... but it's good to be 7', automatic millionaire for 10 years

April 29, 2009  04:03 PM ET

Thabeet's offense is a little suspect, but to deny him as being a defensive softy is just stupid to even mention. Although he can get prone to fouls, most of the time, it's because of his size. The refs see him cloud over guys and already have their lungs full of air to blow the whistle expecting a foul. He's normally a huge threat inside the paint defensively, don't sleep on him. Someone said it earlier, he'll be another Mutumbo. And if my memory serves me right, multiple defensive player of the years and averaging double digits in points and rebounds, plus 3 blocks a game for most of his 18 years in the NBA makes Mutumbo good company to be compared to. And having the likes of NBA analyzers saying the same thing, obviously the boy has more potential to grow during his time in the league. Now Budinger and Hill...that's another story. I see Hill following Aaron Williams' footsteps and Budinger being a role player on one of the D-League teams.

he's actually a legit 7'2
he is absolutely not soft
But he does have to get stronger as EVERY big does

He won't develop much of an offensive game- his hands are AWFUL- but he can absolutely become a defensive force int he league- since the center position is so weak

Exactly, especially with the small amount of Centers in the league...
