Zach Frazer has emerged as UConn's No. 1 quarterback on the depth chart with Cody Endres second, according to a list released by coach Randy Edsall on Tuesday. "Zach Frazer is our No. 1 quarterback coming out of spring practice and he has earned that spot," Edsall said. "However, as we continue over the summer and into fall camp, there is still competition at that position, like there is at each spot on the team."

Now that's a vote of confidence. Watch your back Zach.

Zach should be the guy though. UCONN could be in good shape this season.

Edsall is a good coach that is getting the most out of the talent he has. Great player developer.

I wonder how long UConn can keep him?

UConn has a football team?

Yes. They were above South Florida and Louisville in the Big East standings last year. (5th place in a conference of 8 teams).

The Big East better watch their back. MWC may steal their "BCS conference" status if they aren't careful.

They've got players. Did you see how many got drafted last weekend?

Hi. I'm Tin Man... and I actually enjoy Big East football. Whew! Feels good to admit that.

I'm pressing for Purdue and Northwestern to jump to the Big East, with the conference agreeing to straighten out its higgledy piggledy basketball scene. Think about it. Both Purdue and Northwestern can remain perrenial also-rans in the Obese 11 or have an annual shot at the Big East conference title with its BSC tie-in.

The Jilted 9 would then turn to ND to become a true Big Ten again. Everybody wins. There be so much trash talk fodder, the noise level will be sustained above 80 decibels for years.

Then, the

Thanks Tin Man.

But I can't admit that.

But I don't look down on you.

If I was in Cincinatti one Fall weekend, I'd go to a Bearcats game before I'd go to a Bengals game. I like college football.

That said, I will not be attempting to organize a gathering of FN friends around a Big East game. Yeah, a neutral field and event may be hard to find, and the Big East beats the Sunbelt or Conference USA, but PAC, B12, O11, SEC, ACC are sure to have contests of interest in which no one's alma mater is engaged. WAC or Mountain West? Hmmm... some possibilities do exist. Independents? ND is a non-starter. Oh, I'm sure that I could rally quite a crowd to invade South Bend and root for the opponent, but I kinda like TerryAve and wouldn't want to exclude him or set up possible confrontation (especially if we're all indulging in Ireland's greatest export). Army vs Navy? The game might suck, but the atmosphere would be awesome. Something to ruminate on as the days grow hotter....

I'm hip to it Tin Man... I've been starting to take a bigger interest to east coast football... though I'm no expert, but I like what I see

UConn put some studs in the draft, I have to say. As a Bulls fan, I'm thrilled to see them graduate. We beat UConn last year, 17-13 last fall, but we were able to stop Donald Brown for the most part. Hopefully George Selvie & the gang intoduce Frazer to some hard hitting Big East play. GO BULLS!!

Why oh Why would ND join the Big Ten? They make too much money "barnstorming" colleges around the country.

Hell...they don't even have One and One's with alot of teams. ND has em at home, and the "away" game is a neutral site (for recruiting and exposure purposes). Thus...ND doesn't need the Big Ten.
