10:29 AM ET 05.03 | Bobby Bowden's 34th annual spring booster tour swept through Orlando on Saturday. The 79-year-old coach spent the day playing golf at Shingle Creek Golf Club and spent part of the evening as the guest of honor at a banquet at the International Plaza Resort & Spa. The tour is down to a science after three-plus decades. This time, however, someone apparently forgot to tell Bowden that third-year wide receiver Cameron Wade had missed a scheduled court date in Tallahassee on Wednesday. Wade faces a misdemeanor charge of battery stemming from an on-campus fight last fall between FSU football players and members of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity. After Wade missed his court date, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Before the banquet, I started to ask Bowden about Wade, preferencing the question by saying he had missed his court date. "Did he miss it?" Bowden responded. "He is a fine young man, really," Bowden said. "His high-school career and everything was spotless and when he's been at our place, I never hear any bad things about him, except he has had a couple of run-ins that boys have. Now, missing a court [date]? I don't know what that is. Maybe he has a very logical reason. But maybe he doesn't. I don't think there's much of a story there."
