Sam Huff: Turn dogs loose with Vick

Sam Huff has a solution should Michael Vick ask for NFL reinstatement. "I think they ought to turn him loose with the dogs," Huff said. "That's what I think of Michael Vick." Huff was among the Southern Conference's first Hall of Fame class, a group that included some of the greats of their sport like golf's Arnold Palmer and basketball's Jerry West. Huff, the talkative, confident linebacker from West Virginia, is always ready with an opinion and Monday's gathering of inductees was no exception. He is angered at how agents and million-dollar guaranteed contracts are robbing pro football of the drive Huff and his contemporaries had to show simply to stay employed. "This is what's happening in the world of sports. It's like insanity," Huff said. The late New York Giants owner "Wellington Mara must be turning in his grave," he said.

Mike made it onto Family Guy !

It's the daily T&R about Mike Vick or Brett Favre.

Who knows? Looks like just another bait and switch article to generate hits to the site.

I think Sam was quoted while pile driving a few bottles of Boone's Farm. I still say Vick paid his dues, give him a chance. Anyone who slams him is a hipocrite.

It was kind of funny. Nothing quite like being made into a clown on National TV. I applaud the writers.

Regardless if he plays or not, his time is short. He'll end up brke back where he came from.

May 5, 2009  08:16 AM ET

You know what I find funny. PETA was all over this guy. Yet,when that story broke about those horses dying from being doped up,you didn't hear a word from PETA.

Anyway, like somebody said,Vick has paid his dues. He deserves a second chance. If he screws that up,then be done with him. But he deserves a second chance.

It's a shame Huff didn't suggest just lynching Vick like in the old days. I'd like to see if animal rights would win out over racism.

Vick on Family Guy?? Have to keep an eye out for that one.

May 5, 2009  08:20 AM ET

The damage has been done....these atheletes are spoiled...and who's to blame? The owners...

Don't forget to blame the media, society in general, and everyone else other than the athletes themselves. God forbid anyone hold them accountable for their own actions. Poor Michael Vick-tim.

But it all started with the owners willingnes to pay them....with out that...they would have never been able to get away with stupid behavior.....cut them and move on....with the big contracts..your hands are tied...plus you have to play them...it's all a mess.....

The media...fans...came afterwards...

After you learn how to spell hypocrite, you might want to look up it's definition so you stop misusing the word....

the media needs to get off this guy's back...like the previous guy said, Vick has paid his dues. Move on people.
