Oregon point guard to transfer

Point guard Kamyron Brown has decided to transfer from Oregon. "We support him and wish him well,'' Oregon coach Ernie Kent said in a statement. It is not known where Brown will transfer, and he could not be reached for comment Sunday. Brown, who would have been a junior in the Ducks' 2009-10 season, split time at point guard last season with freshman Garrett Sim. Brown averaged 4.5 points and 2.2 assists in 17.1 minutes per game last season and was second on the team with 34 steals. The move has been long rumored, and those rumors picked up steam last week when it was inaccurately reported on some Internet sites that the Ducks had signed junior college point guard Malcolm Armstead. That would have given the Ducks 14 scholarship players - one more than the NCAA limit.

Hmmmmmm. So maybe the PG with a 65% free throw percentage is an upgrade after all.
