Come back to San Antonio, you left a good thing for that awful situation.

I can see him as an assistant or a College Coach but I cannot see another team in the League giving him a head coach's job.

His replacement did a much better job with the Thunder than he did. I don't think he is on any teams short list right now.

I think he's best suited to be an assistant in the NBA. Perhaps a college team would be able to better put up with his yelling approach.

Even though what Latrell Spreewell did to P.J. was criminal,other players from that particular team said he had a "get in your face" abrasive type of style.If that's still his style,it won't work in the NBA.When he was an assistant with the Spurs,I'm sure that came in handy once in a while when players needed someone to get on them.But not as a head coach.He,Jeff Van Gundy and Doug Collins don't seem to know when to leave it alone.

He wants to coach again but look at his track record, he sucks.

He says at the end, "college coaching". Phew....

I think the thread indicated that PJ was interested. It didn't say that any GMs were. He might not be a bad choice for the college ranks. If Isiah Thomas can get a job, certainly someone somewhere will give PJ a shot.

Isiah is working for free - aka free labor. If PJ wants to go that route alotta owners will be calling him collect in a heartbeat.

he is a excellent assistant because of his fundamentals but he had Pop to control his temper, as a head coach he doesnt have no one and his players get sick of it and get him fired...

Where did you get this information? Isiah never did anything for nothing. Are you trying to tell me he packed up and moved to Florida for free? I doubt it.

If he does get a job it will be with such a bad team it will be another short stint.

That was cool of him it probably saved some jobs and made a big difference to a few somebodies.

Ok, now we get the rest of the story. Isiah is NOT working for free. His 1st YEAR SALARY will be donated to the school's athletic department. He's still owed about $18 million from the Knicks. After next season he'll be on some kind of salary.
