Predators want Radulov return

Predators General Manager David Poile came away from a recent meeting with Alexander Radulov believing the talented Russian forward does want to return to the NHL. But when -- and if -- Radulov chooses to make that decision remains to be seen. The Predators want to know Radulov's intentions by the end of June at the latest, because they will need to start planning for the 2009-10 season at the draft and in the free-agent market.

I thought exactly the same thing going from the Sundin article to seeing this one!
Can't they come up with something new with all the playoff action going on right now?

how hard is it to plan for the draft..... you have a core group of young defensemen lead by shea weber, decent goaltending with ellis and rinne....... you need help on OFFENSE.... whats to think about.... regardless if radulov is coming back you get some offense, and if the offensive players are gone you do what every other teams does.... draft the highest player in your rankings still available......

Since the KHL will be bankrupt in three years...this is a smart move for him.

The NHL should say sorry but the league is just fine without you guys who thought the land of Russia is better than the NHL. ^ I think the wheelchair is a little strong.

I hope Poile convinces him to come back and then as payback trades to the only place worse to play than Russia -- TORONTO!
1/2 season playing under Ron Wilson and Rads would be looking for real estate in northern Finland with aspirations of being Hayley Wickenheiser's line mate on some team in the mens division IIII hockey.

Same story, different Russian player? And from a mid-west expansion team? Or was it the same guy? Seems to me the story last year was about someone younger who wound up failing a a physical or breaking a finger and then wanted to come back? The memory bank is just not what it used to be......No big deal anyway, the summer stories are coming early this year. Playoffs? What playoffs??

Toronto? Chuck them in for maybe one above Russia. If Poile really wanted revenge, He'd send Rad to Phoenix where their ice isn't really ice, it's softened concrete painted white. But then again they'll be moving to Hamilton (hopefully) so maybe atlanta will have to do the trick.

On the contrary. "Soft" is exactly what Radulov is. That would fit his style very well. Send him to Anaheim where he won't fit in at all, and somehow stipulate that he must be kept on the NHL roster. Let he and Randy Carlyle go a few rounds.
