Rangers interested in Lightning coach?

The Lightning is holding the door open for associate coach Mike Sullivan. But general manager Brian Lawton said this week, "It wouldn't shock me if we had to be prepared to move in another direction." Sullivan's working relationship with coach Rick Tocchet was one of the bright spots in a disappointing season. But the former Bruins bench boss wants another head coaching gig. Sullivan, 41, is under contract through June 30, but Lawton has given him permission to investigate, and the Oilers and Wild jobs are open. He also has permission to explore assistant jobs if they get him closer to his Massachusetts home. The Rangers and coach John Tortorella, under whom Sullivan worked in Tampa Bay, are believed interested. Lawton said he will give Sullivan about two weeks before beginning the process of finding a replacement, though he will not shut Sullivan out.

And Sullivan is hoping that the door doens't hit him on the way out...Much greener pastures out there and if he works in NY, it may not be long before he becomes the head coach...

I'm curious as to what they will do before the drop of the puck next season...

The only thing I want is a story about Torts and that Caps fan decided to settle their differences in the ring.

They lose Naslund,Antropov and Zherdev. Hopefully they can get themselves a scorer. Problem is Dubinsky and Callahan are due for raises. They're becoming 2 of my favorite players here. Sather better hope an offer sheet doesnt come their way. As far as the overpaid slugs(Redden,Gomez,Drury) nobody will take these guys with those contracts. Just have to hope Tortella can make something from it. Smartest move would be.................................SEND REDDEN TO THE MINORS!!!!!!
