File this one under "Well duh". Unless the NHL continues to help out whoever is going to run the team and keep in Phoenix (because I don't expect that the NHL will allow it to move anywhere in Canada), this team is going to be taken off life support eventually, you'd think.

Let's just hope that a few other notables within the hockey world start vocalizing their similar beliefs so that Bettman eventually has no option but to actually listen. Maybe then we'll be rid of the teams only surviving thanks to profit sharing - Phoenix, Atlanta, etc. Nothing against the 6 or 7 fans those teams actually have, but this is the pro leagues, not the AHL where you can get away with having 5000 ppl in the stands every night.

wait where do the communists come into play? first of all why would someone name an arena after wayne gretzky's father? Is blowing ones load into ones wife now something that merits getting ones own arena.

And what does wayne's commie-nazi grandparents ave to do with anything. Maybe he is making a plea to the nhl that since he is a commie that all the teams should never win a game or lose a game but every team end with the same record at the end of the season. all the teams will be 0-0-0-82

I have so many problems with what you just wrote. Firstly, they were going to name an arena after Walter Gretzky in Hamilton to convinve Wayne that Hamilton would be a good place to relocate, as he will have a large say, not for "blowing ones load into ones wife." Secondly you say Wayne's grandparents are nazi/communist? You realize that nazis are facist and are infact polar opposites to communists? Lastly after some nonsensical writing you say that the team will be 0-0-0-82. Are you kidding? That means they lose 82 times in a shootout??? Really?

Really hockey isn't viable in Arizona, who would have thunk it? What does that mean for my Waco, TX based dog sledding league?

minnesota should have two team... one in st. paul and one in minneapolis we would gladly take em. the state of hockey has more fans than we know what to do with. the X can only hold 18000 of them
