Sooners kick Pattillo off team

Forward Juan Pattillo has been kicked off Oklahoma's basketball team for an undisclosed violation of team policy. Sooners coach Jeff Capel announced Sunday that he had dismissed Pattillo, who came out of a redshirt halfway through last season and helped Oklahoma reach the regional finals in the NCAA tournament. Pattillo averaged 6.2 points and 3.6 rebounds and also provided a shot-blocking presence in 18 games off the bench. With player of the year Blake Griffin moving on to the NBA, Pattillo was expected to play an even bigger role next season. Capel says he will not comment on Pattillo's dismissal.

Guess the Sooner BBall team has different rules than the football team. Maybe he should have taken his gf out to the desert, held her against her will and threatened to kill her while holding a screwdriver to her neck.

Gotta give it up for Coach Capel. Young and smart, but running a decent show as well. To get rid of a guy who was going to step in and contribute next year, good precedence for him and his entire program.
