May 19, 2009  07:36 AM ET

give it to McGuire...then his stupdi **** won't be doing any commentary

McGuire looks like a phallic device with glasses. WORST NHL TAKING HEAD EVER......Mike Milbury a close second.

Talking heads ...sorry fingers haven't woke up yet.

Hiring McGuire would be MONSTROUS!

May 19, 2009  09:59 AM ET

Why would someone take Pierre McGuire other than the fact that he disagrees with Milbury often?

But would he get to keep his Blackberry?

May 19, 2009  10:37 AM ET

is this his h.s. yearbook photo?

May 19, 2009  11:19 AM ET

Please take McGuire and, to paraphrase that annoying Youtube kid, "leave Fletcher alone!"

I kind of feel bad for Fletcher on this one. He is in a lose lose situation here. If he gets the job he has to work for people that actually considered hiring McGuire over him. If he loses the job he has the live with the fact that he lost to McGuire.

i really fail to understand how pierre mcguire is even in the equation. i mean really, i never heard him say anything even remotely insightful and you want to give a pretty sweet gm gig? wow...

May 19, 2009  02:56 PM ET

Those are both horrible choices. McGuire does have knowledge of any player that ever touched a stick but he is a **** bad french canadian. Boogard would be gone for sure.

I'm not gonna lie - the pioneer press certainly took the same buisness writing courses I took in university: straight to the point without BS. Thing is... this isn't a memo - could you guys actually maybe print something longer than one full sentence? It's the sports section, entertain me for crying out loud!

May 19, 2009  04:26 PM ET

I'm between the glass on deciding on this one...

May 19, 2009  05:53 PM ET

Giving it to Pierre McGuire is a tremendous idea. His skill as a GM will be unbelievable. You know every player he trades for and drafts will be great or some other superlative. And best of all I can watch a game on TSN or NBC without having it on mute, that will be exceptional.

WHY NOT GIVE THE JOB TO MIKIE MILBURY HE CAN TRADE WHATEVER TALENT THEY HAVE LEFT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

It is (again) from a writer who has numerous quick hits on local sports. Try reading the whole article and you might understand the concept.
