Why Marve picked Purdue over Vols
Robert Marve said he'll join the Boilermakers, and will be eligible for the 2010 season. He left Miami (Fla.) in December after two seasons. Marve selected Purdue over Tennessee but also considered Nebraska, Texas Tech, Arizona State and South Florida. The 6-1, 210-pound Marve said he felt comfortable at Purdue, which he visited in April. He cited an already established relationship with defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo, who recruited Marve in high school, and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Gary Nord. "It wasn't so much why not Tennessee but how comfortable I felt at Purdue," Marve said on the show. ". . . I'm excited how Purdue's future looks."

btw, this is a message Jacory left for Marve on his facebook page:
"Do your thang wherever you go. I wish nothing but the best for you! Sorry things ended up the way they did. But bounce back and show people why you won Mr. Florida. Much love!"
Jacory Harris = pure class. I'm glad hes our QB and not Marve.

It's finally done and he picked a school where he's going to start in 2010. However, I'm still high on a kid from Brooklyn who signed with the Boilermakers. Najee Tyler. Remember the name. Kid's 6'6" and got a cannon for an arm. He's raw though so I guess Marve is going to be the bridge to him.
Remember where you heard it first.

the reason he went to purdue is because they are going to give him a scholarship...and because West Lafayette is in closer proximity to his father than Knoxville is.

Lets see.... He picked Purdue because the Vols are eventually going to land more 4/5 * QB's than Purdue will...
Hahaha.. i think thats hilarious.. Basically saying I am better than you and you are afraid to compete... Marve=Mustain.. I will be guarding the clipboard

How is leaving Miami for Purdue a good trade? That sounds worse to me all the way around.

At least Marve was smart enough not to go somewhere like USC to seek playing time.

good choice robert. it would have been embarassing if you got to ut, and then got beat out by a true freshman next year.

Not a fan of either team, but realistically, he has a better chance of making an NFL team at Purdue than he does at Tennessee or Miami.....I'm just saying.

Um, ok. Please explain that one. Purdue produced Drew Brees, but his former coach is at UT. Not that it matters, I have about as good a chance of making an NFL team as he does.
