07:56 AM ET 05.24 | The Dallas Cowboys made major structural reinforcements to their practice facility last year using advice from a man who has falsified his educational credentials and served federal prison time for his role in a violent drug trafficking ring, a Dallas Morning News investigation shows. The consultant, Jeffrey Lawrence Galland, was engineering director of a Las Vegas company called JCI, although he had no engineering license. He acknowledged The News' findings and said his background had no bearing on his ability to help clients.

Sounds like a variation of "I'm not a doctor but I play one on TV."

There's no question this was an absolute tragedy and I feel terribly for all those involved.

But with the information that's coming out it sounds like Jerry was involved in yet another poorly managed decision involving the Cowboys. Guy can't keep his hands off anything and it usually ends with bad results. (see a decade worth of drafts, coaching decisions, contract decisions)

He stayed at a Holiday Inn the night before. Obvious problem being it wasn't a Holiday Inn Express.

C'mon, a violent drug dealer with limited education? How can this be?
He lied to his company, he lied to The Cowboys, I wonder if he went to Va. Tech for a short time?

Good Morning Gentleman

It seems a pretty weak thread this morning.

May 24, 2009  08:20 AM ET

Man, I surfed around,, It's damned bleak on the other two also.

May 24, 2009  08:22 AM ET

I'm sure JCI is proud to include him as an employee.

May 24, 2009  08:23 AM ET

I'm finding it hard to get motivated this morning without a Favre thread.

I hear ya. Too dangerous out on the lakes here. Got a big one right up the road but there have been plenty of accidents out there when the drunk idiots get on their boats and start racing each other.

Course with this economy not sure how many will be out there today/tomorrow.

May 24, 2009  08:36 AM ET

I have some great fishing lakes around me, but need a boat. I'm bank fishing, and learning to fly fish. These guys all go for trout, but the old coot who is teaching me fly fishing is getting traded flatland fishing for catfish. It seems the good people up here think Cats are garbage fish.

The economy doesn't seem to effect the people up here that much. IMO

albeit I have only been up here a few months

Must have been referred to Jerry Jones by Michael Irvin

Prediction: Romo will be benched on the way to Dallas's 4-12 record this year.

I agree to a point. Romo has to put up the numbers, and get them to the playoffs with a win, or he's gone.
