06:59 AM ET 05.26 | The Colorado Avalanche have sweetened their offer in pursuit of Patrick Roy, according to a report out of Montreal. Roy was reportedly offered the head coaching job last week and could have the GM's post too, according to ruefrontenac.com. The website -- operated by locked-out journalists from Le Journal de Montreal -- reported that Roy has been offered both positions and the former goalie has already told Avs president Pierre Lacroix who he would hire as his assistants if everything falls into place. Roy, according to the report, wants to hire former Maple Leafs defenseman Sylvain Lefebvre (currently an assistant in the AHL) and Guy Boucher (Drummondville's coach in the Quebec junior league). Roy is currently the coach of the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL.
