Phoenix Mountain Pointe point guard Jahii Carson is following the trend of early basketball commitments and gave Oregon State his word that he will play there after he graduates. Carson has two more years at the Ahwatukee school. Carson, an Allen Iverson type scoring guard, said that he was interested in Arizona, but "right now they're not really making the effort to recruit me." He said Arizona State "was kind of recruiting me," but it offered a scholarship to a Bay-area point guard, he said. Oregon State was all over Carson, who started on Mountain Pointe's varsity as a freshman.

Is the coach trying to see if the ball will fit in his mouth in that photo.

I think this headline got scrambled. Should it read, "Sophomore Commitment lands inside Beavers"?
