Not sure, but this sounds kinda like expressing disinterest in someone you know isn't interested in you. Sort of like back in high school (300 - 400 years ago) if I'd said I wasn't asking our any of the cheerleaders because they weren't my type, as opposed to knowing there was no ****ing way in hell any of them would be interested in dating me.

ND is not interested in a conference as long as they can command the TV and BCS contracts they get as an independent. If their team continues to suck, and these contracts aren't renewed, their interest in joining a conference will increase significantly.

Jabba's still a bit pudgy, by the way.

Why would Notre Dame want to join? They are already in one of the best basketball conferences and their football team has it's own contract with NBC. They have a good thing going.

I'm shocked the used a pic of Joe. Since ND is mentioned I would have figured a shot of Jabba.

Let's face it, though, of all the teams he has mentioned, Notre Dame is probably the only one that would ever cause him serious trouble. All ND needs is a good coach and they'll turn around pretty quickly.

Yeah I thought the same thing after posting. They stink now but could turn around alot faster than other programs.

I think Paterno was turning down the opportunity to replace Charlie Weiss. ND was his dream job.
