Give Maurice a shot. He deserves one!

May 28, 2009  09:08 AM ET

He never got a fair shake in Toronto... but he's a damn good coach.

May 28, 2009  09:24 AM ET

They would be fools to get rid of him

I agree...and move the team

The Capitals should hire him.

you don't like the guy they have?

Boudreau had a history here in Manchester with the Kings minor league franchise of getting his team to overachieve in the regular season and underachieve in the playoffs. He did however take over the Hershey Bears 1/2 way through the season a few years ago and led them to the Calder Cup.

I like him to a degree. His team was however ill prepared in both the series vs the Rangers and the Pens. His technical side of the game is somewhat questionable as well as his seemingly lack of control over his star player's ice time (O.V.)
I actually hope he does have better success. His is a great story to the NHL.

When he came in everyone thought he was going to get promoted to be in the front office at the end of the year and put Francis in.

Paul Maurice looks way to much like Jeffrey Dahmer!

May 28, 2009  02:29 PM ET

Do you think Hossa will re-sign with Pitt if they win the Cup?

May 28, 2009  02:30 PM ET

The Canes realy aren't that good.

He will want to but he will be rejected.Lidstrom is the best d-man ever!

I hit the golf links for a couple of months and come back here and it takes me all of about 10 seconds to figure out who this DetroitGM is and why Lidstrom is the best D-man ever!

For pete sake, will you quit making bets! or at least win one for once!

I'm going to rehab for my gambling problem. My record is now 2-4 in avatar bets. Do you wanna have a bet?Lidstrom is the best d-man ever!

I see rehab isn't working and no, i do not want to bet, not against you anyway and here is why, me winning against you wouldn't provide me with anymore of a chuckle then i've already experienced at your expense, therefore I have nothing to gain and everything to lose

Also, i would like you to get over your addiction and don't want to add fuel to the fire for you!

I'm pulling for you BGM, anyone with over 10,000 quotes on this site has my respect and just for the record, I'll let you pick first, Orr, Bourque or Lidstrom when it comes to starting your franchise and I'll gladly take one of the two who is left over!

In other words, it's a win/win

I can only hope. Maybe he can get Sundin sized shekels in Hongcouver?

I'll take Orr AND Bourque for my franchise. You can have the finesse guy that has accumulated 15 hits over 15 seasons. Hhahhahaha.

With finesse comes longevity, 15 hits over 15 seasons = 4, maybe 5 Stanley Cups!

1 Goal for your boy Pavel, Hank!

It's a good thing we signed Hossa after all!

.......and don't start with his defensive prowess crap either, Hossa's defense has been just as effective, we need Datsyuk healthy and scoring along with playing good "D"!

May 28, 2009  06:30 PM ET

Nice vote of confidence. For crying out loud, let the man, the team and the fans know that he will be back.

Pens couldn't fit Hossa in the budget even if they wanted him. The Pens were able to sign Jordan Staal & Brooks Orpik to extensions after being spurned by Hossa. Orpik would have gone FA and Staal would have been traded.
