Free agent guard Stephon Marbury displayed his interest in re-signing with the Celtics by keeping his Waltham apartment near the practice facility. He was at the facility, shooting, a day after the team's season ended.

He's like a baby. I want, I want. Not worth it and he made the Celtics lose in the playoffs. Ask the players around him.

"He"made the Celtics lose? Are all 87 of your comments as dumb as that one?

Celtics, please keep him so that I dont have to hear anymore news about this jerk.

It's funny that Marbury will have a job next year and Allen Iverson probably won't.

May 31, 2009  10:01 AM ET

Any team that he has been on has been worse and as soon as he leaves they get better. I knew the Celts won't repeat once they got him. He's just a bad luck inconsistent guy. In game 6 against the Magic he rallied the team back into the game and then in game 7 what does he give you 4 points and 3 turnovers. I don't know what else it'll take for the Doc Rivers and Ainge to realize this guy is just destined to loose... Dear Celts managemen, in the interest of karma, common sense, past history and commitment to win it all - let this guy take his mantra to another city.

Don't be so sure about that....
Neither may play- Steph (IMO) ain't going to want to play for the
leagues minimum > which his value currently is.

If the Celts want to be assured of not winning a championship next year they should sign him, the guy's gold when it comes to that. He sprays himself with success repellent before every game.

the celtics need a good back up point guard

actually- the celts just need to be healthy-
if KG comes back- your bench guys that were forced to start &
play more minutes go back to the BENCH where they belong

"Marbury wants to stay with Celtics"--Who gives a damn about what Marbury wants? The Celtics need a backup at the point but Marbury ain't it.

May 31, 2009  11:11 AM ET

vuck marbury

May 31, 2009  11:12 AM ET

Celtics won't find a better backup PG than Marbury...any of you haters that believe otherwise are just Marbury haters....Marbury will play much better next year with training camp and his basketball legs under him..I'd bet on it
Celtics need to get healthy and probably another big man or two if Big Baby leaves

If Marbury is willing to come off the bench for the whole year and be willing to get paid the minimum then he will be a very good back up. Chances are that he is going somewhere else to get paid. It's all about the Benjamins.

Marbury wants a paycheck.

Its because i Marbury had no problem coming off the bench. He knew his place

are you sure hansbrough had a 8-10 wingspan? do you mean 7-10? i don't think his arms hang all the way to the ground haha

bring back marbury for the minimum. he'll shoot better than last year, seeing how he hadn't played in over a year, and will play with at least a shred of confidence. everyone has a preconceived notion that marbury kills your team, but from what i saw there is no doubt in my mind that he is better than 95% of the backup pgs in the league

Southern Cal forward Taj Gibson, who was measured at 6-10 with a 7-3 wingspan ;

It's too bad New York doesn't have a 2nd round pick because hometown kid woulda been a great roll of the dice.
