There is yet another rumor running around about one of the Phoenix Three being traded. Over the weekend we saw reports that the Suns might send Amare Stoudemire - yes, here we go with Stoudemire trade rumors again - to the Washington Wizards for Antawn Jamison, the expiring contract of Mike James, and the #5 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

That's a fair trade for both sides. Once again Kerr destroyed the team so bad they have to start from scratch....

How does that help the Suns (like the Lebron insurance commercial)? Jamison is getting old and is too small for the Suns need at PF. Bosh would be the better trade for the Suns even though they call Bosh soft. Bosh has proven that he can be a help defender and he has proven that in the Olympics.

I would like to see amare in a wizards uniform but i don't see it happeneing

June 2, 2009  08:18 AM ET

Jamison will retire a Wizard...

He isn't worth trading for unless his contract is expring, which it isn't, but Jamison brings a few skills to the table that Amare doesn't have like leadership and versatility...

I like it--the Wiz could definitely compete with a healthy Gil (not a safe assumption), the always reliable Butler and Amare. Add in Brendan Heyward and the developing Javele MaGee and Nick Young off the bench. Also, I haven't heard of anyone at that 5th spot that the Wizards love. Wonder if getting Amare would mean the end of Andre Blatche?

June 2, 2009  08:20 AM ET

got to remember the never healthy arenas said he would not stay in washington unless they resigned jamison... well now that he is suppose to be healthy for virtually the first time since he re-signed with the wiz, they are going to send the man he wanted to play with away.

Trust me i love it, i think jamison is getting a little old and amare is a big man that washington needs, but the wizards have something against doing what is best for the team.

On a side note.... If it did happen... I would like to bet by 30 games in Arenas and Amare are hurt and Caron Butler will be all alone again.

Jamison is a good player and stable-
but why in the world would Phoenix BUILD their team around him?
his contract is very large & is significantly older than Amare-
they would be in WORSE position if they got him-
and as fro the 5th pick ? who are they thinking they are getting
at #5 that is going to be a star ? Hardin ?

June 2, 2009  08:57 AM ET

Antwan will be 33 next week, so anything he's able to provide will be short term. The Suns could capitalize however with the #5 pick. Not really a bad move for Washington. If they can keep the core healthy, it could be interesting. The way I see it the Suns don't help themselves much, unless Shaq, Nash, Hill, and now Jamison are going to petition the league for wheelchair games.

Amare looks like the next great blind pianist in that photo.

Otherwise this trade is great for Washington, obviously, counterproductive for Phoenix.

I don't think the union will allow that- it'll have to be addressed
at the next discussion of the CB agreement

Why won't they trade Steve Kerr to the Detroit Lions or better yet to North Korea for Lisa Lings sister!

...and we all know the only thing accomplished at these meetings is hard feelings.

Because she's been released.

Jamison is an all around player. He can shoot the 3 point.

June 2, 2009  10:23 AM ET

For real, this is just another bad move in a long line of bad moves by the Suns. This whole organization needs to be replaced. I guess starting from scratch is the only option. Implode the team, everyone. If I'm Amare, I don't want any part of this team, that's all they've done is talked about trading me at every instance. I'd start talking about signing with Cleveland immediately.

June 2, 2009  10:26 AM ET

It's great or the Wiz, awful for the Suns, that's probably why Kerr will do it.

June 2, 2009  10:26 AM ET

This would be a bad move for the suns, they would basically be down grading, I hope this isnt true, and I hope to think Kerr wouldnt be this stupid.

June 2, 2009  10:27 AM ET

Does either team get any better... really?

He is that stupid. If you are a suns fan be very afraid.

Good trade for Washington and like usual bad trade for the Suns because Jamison is 2 years away from retirement, Mike James is useless and the #5 pick is not that great in this draft at best a good bench player.
