Tennessee's Tyler Smith says he's now considering playing professional basketball overseas next season. Smith, who was in Knoxville on Monday after returning from the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago over the weekend, said the money would have to be right. Smith, a rising senior forward, originally wasn't open to the idea of playing overseas. But after learning how well former UT player Marcus Haislip is faring playing professionally in Italy, both from a financial and developmental standpoint, Smith is reconsidering.

Good luck to you buddy. Pursue your dream. Not sure what you mean by if the money is right but I guess if it's more than Tennessee is paying him then that would do it.

The only thing Haislip has done in Europe is win the Turkish League dunk contest. If that's what you want to emulate, Tyler ... way to shoot for the middle!

Does the editor have a tail? I mean, do they have a cat that accidentally accepts these fractured sentences?

I wish he'd just come back and play his final season at Tennessee.

Me too, but that could put the Vols in a scholarship bind, unless Phillip Jurick transfers. Jurick has been considering it, since he is doomed to pine riding if he stays.

all signs are pointing to jurick transferring. if tyler doesn't come back, that makes it ultra-important that jp gets his shoulder healthy, and that hopson develops his game more.

Do y'all think T&R can make it a full week without a Lane Kiffin story? There's only 20 hrs left for them to accomplish it!

They're trying to get us to start it by having TN stories. Its not working though.

They broke tradition yesterday by posting a Meyer story. Two days ago we got our regularly scheduled Weis story. Yesterday it was Kiffin's turn but the Meyer story threw everything out of sequence.

JP is one of the most destructive players on UT's team. He throws up terrible 3 point shots at the worst possible times...ie sec championship game. I don't understand why he keeps insisting on taking these shots when he is clearly one of the teams worst 3 point shooters. He also has a case of mistaken identity as he must think he is magic while on the floor because he tries to pull off these Showtime passes, and they end up with the other team or in the stands.

if i had my way, jp would ride the bench if he hurled uup another 3 or tried a fancy pass, and tyler smith would return to knoxville

True to all that, but he was money against Memphis in 08. I enjoyed asking Tiger High fans where he was from. But he hasn't played at that level since that game.

Without Tyler, we won't make the sweet 64.
